As noted on Friday, last week's blotter was delayed because it was a busy week. Some of these were still under review by the senior staff at the time of posting, and rather than give data that didn't make sense, I waited until today so that it could all be presented at once.

Just curious. When there are 7 30 day scripting warnings, are they 7 different people, or possibly one person with several accounts and all of them were locked out?

Good question and it's usually a combiniation of both. When an account gets locked out, generally, all of that person's accounts get locked out. There are some exceptions to this, as an example let's say Tom has an account and Bob has an account, and there's a third account in Tom's name that they both play. Now lets say Bob manages to get locked out because of something he did (we'll say it's a PvP situation where he started something on his own account, found out he bit off more than he could chew, and brought in the 65th circle barb from the shared account to finish the job). Just because the account is in Tom's name doesn't mean his main account will get sent out, even though the one they play jointly in this case could.
People playing multiple accounts do have to wory about what they do across all of their accounts. If one gets locked out, they can all get locked out.

It has been my understanding that a lockout is always for all accounts that are linked in any way. It doesn't make sense to lock out one account and allow them to play on another.

It has to be of a certain level, such that 1)it's gonna REALLY stir up the pot no matter what context it's used (ie, politics, religion) and/or 2)people would be impacted by it.
Walking by a player talking sports with his buddies would definitely require a nudge, but they'd never get a lockout or warning for it. However, if they followed you around or actively surveyed/brought other folk into their discussion, that's when things become disruptive due to OOCness and thus warnable.

Game Disruption can be any significant disruption to the game.
Interfering with GM Events, Abuse of REPORT or ASSIST, causing a ruckus, shenanigans, grabassery, larking about, etc.
Its really a catch-all category for "general troublemaking".

My typos in the original statement aside, this of course wrong, for the reasons described in the preceding paragraph. With the way some people share accounts, this could cause dozens of accounts to be locked out sort of like an insane version of six degrees of Kevin Bacon.

My guess is the characters are gone but the accounts can be reopened in 60 days. I rather severe punishment. I imagine that the individual had been warned repeatedly and simply wasn't bright enough to stop. I believe there is a step before that that results in the loss of significant experience. Either way they get a shot to play again in 60 days with a brand new character.

Ding ding, we have a winner. Straight from NEWS 5 17:
- Third offense: The offending account, plus all of the other related accounts, can be locked out of the game for 60 days. In addition, the offender will FORFEIT ALL CHARACTERS on the offending account. Character forfeiture means loss of all characters, and all of their inventory including vaults, bank accounts, experience, skills, stats, etc. Everything will be gone.

The account itself would get the LO for 60 days. This would prevent them from making new characters and playing. And the characters that were scripted and all that are removed due to their gains from performing illegal activities.
Or at least that's how I read it. Never had the pleasure first hand. ;)

I think the character loss is permanent. The 60 days is the amount of time the account is locked out, character loss or no.

I just had an odd thought when I read that. Ok so they get locked out for sixty days and loss the character permanent. What if they offer to pay 250.00 for the character to be restored? Is that allowable? Just one of those random and odd thoughts one has at times.

<<What if they offer to pay 250.00 for the character to be restored?>>
Characters that were killed or rerolled can be eligible. Characters that have been permanently removed are not. There are all kinds of issues on this one, character history, past warnings, and the like all would end up carrying over. Then there are questions like, "when would the character be set to?" which have no answer at all.
Removed characters are considered broken. Just as there are some things you can't take to the forge to get fixed, there are some characters that are in the same metaphoric condition.
