You draw your opponent close and lock your arms tight.
>
* Ineptly, a young forest gryphon rakes a set of large, sharp claws at you. You partially block with a steel medium shield.
[You're adeptly balanced and in strong position.]
>
You lean back and hoist a fledgling forest gryphon into the air!

A fledgling forest gryphon lands with a roll, avoiding injury from your suplex.

* With weak timing, a fledgling forest gryphon rakes a set of large, sharp claws at you. You dodge, just managing to get out of a tight spot.
[You're badly balanced with opponent overwhelming you.]

and stands up.
A fledgling forest gryphon leaps to its feet and lets out a shrill cry of defiance.

Not sure if this has already been bugged, but figured I'd post.

I don't know much about these manuevers, but on epedia I know it specifically says that gryphons cannot be knocked off their feet, so that might be an intentional thing.

Oh, I didn't know that. They have a 'stand up' output, which makes me think that's maybe not true, but I'm not certain if I've knocked them down before. I feel like I must have?

In anycase though, this part is borked, at least the text output:

and stands up.
A fledgling forest gryphon leaps to its feet and lets out a shrill cry of defiance.

I would expect, also, that getting Zangeif'd to the ground would cause some internal chest/back/head/neck damage?

The same messaging happens with other mobs, too.

Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

Better but I am still getting a lot of glancing. I did doubleshot and hit well. Then I did whirl and got glancing then the net few doubleshot I got glancing. I swapped weapons and got good hit, then glancing.

I was in gargs outside of the Crossings. I was using a tunnlers axe and a sterak axe. LE is one of my primay wepons and if just using slice I was getting 23/23 most of the time there. Any glance seems wrong

with MOF up...

Your ground is engulfed by fire as bright as the noontime sun!
You lean back and hoist a rotting deadwood dryad into the air!

like instead of my fingertips, claws, knee, foot, etc, it was the ground... kinda wonder if mud or water do less impact damage from a suplex?
