I'm thinking...

it seems to be doing the math first before giving you the extra stance points from a lower attack.

Even if it would be enough to change over, it says no you don't currently. And causes it to fail with the current amount of stance points listed.
Or there's some crazy math and something's getting lost or added in there.. or both...

Just screwing around w/numbers I can get to fall anywhere betweeo 208 and 228 stance points with 0 attack stance.
There's a reason I always hated math...

>stance set 100 27 100 0
Setting your Evasion stance to 100%, your Parry stance to 27%, your Shield stance to 100%, and your Attack stance to 0%. You have 1 stance points left.

>stance set 100 27 100 0
You have specified a total number (227) that is above your maximum number of points (223). Please try again.

nother example:

>stance set 100 0 100 0
Setting your Evasion stance to 100%, your Parry stance to 0%, your Shield stance to 100%, and your Attack stance to 0%. You have 8 stance points left.
>
The jagged stone spears surrounding you at melee range flex and shiver, sending flakes of stone drifting to the ground.
>stanc set 100 50 50 24
Setting your Evasion stance to 100%, your Parry stance to 50%, your Shield stance to 50%, and your Attack stance to 24%. You have 23 stance points left.
>stance set 100 0 100 0
Setting your Evasion stance to 100%, your Parry stance to 0%, your Shield stance to 100%, and your Attack stance to 0%. You have 23 stance points left.
>stance set 100 27 100 0
Setting your Evasion stance to 100%, your Parry stance to 27%, your Shield stance to 100%, and your Attack stance to 0%. You have 1 stance points left.

Is this something other than the fact that you get 1 bonus defensive point for every 5 attack points you don't use?
