I love that we can type something like "EXP 400" to see all skills over 400, but can we have the option to add a second number to set it as a min/max range?

Something like "EXP 0 100" so we can see skills from 0 to 100, or "EXP 250 500" to see skills from 250 to 500, etc?

<<1\This is globally affecting people. Either take the TDP respec, or deal with the negative. There really is no good reason not to take the respec.>>

Wait huh? Why take the respec?, your better off with the negative, at least you get to "use" those TDPs till you make up the negative. The only GOOD reason to take the respec is if your stats are gimped in some weird way.

Only in the short run. In the end, you have to pay them back, so all other things equal (which they aren't), at the point where you've reached the end of your negative (without the respec), vs where you've retrained back to the same stats (with the respec), you've broken even. The difference is in gaining the tdp's you 'missed out on' (had to use) to get a perfect roll, if you didn't end up with a perfect roll out of the character generator.

You don't need the respec to get these back, or to get back tdps you spent on learning spells. Because of the new way tdps are calculated, you'll get them back the first time you rank a skill, if not sooner.

Explain how you're ever better off taking the respec if you have negative TDPs. Respec means your stats are going to go down, in some cases substantially, from where they are now. Even if you're 5k tdps in the hole, that means you're going to have to build up 5k worth of tdps to get back to where you are now, if you respec. I see no upside to respecing, unless, and very specifically, you've left all stats at 1 or something equally idiotic.

3.0 TDPs are calculated under the assumption that your base stats are perfect roll.

So if you gained nor lost any skill based TDPs when moving to 3.0, if you had less than perfect stats beforehand you'd see a small bit of TDP gain.

Any gain is negated by the skill based loss. I rolled my thief in 1996 with far from perfect stats. Who knew then? Still ending up with a 600 tdp loss. So exactly what is this character gaining?

In that case, disregard. I thought you had to respec to get those.

I gain about 80 TDPs a day, and I'm not the most hardcore character by any stretch of the imagination. I don't think a week's worth of TDPs is really worth stressing over.

Just in the event someone isn't looped in, the TDP auto-calculates/updates your true TDP amount.

Only 600 tdp's? thats like a good weekend of training. I'd hate to see the anguish if you were in somebody like Codiax's position.

But seriously even in his case, the amount of ranks he's got, and the way he train's with a bonus like that he'll still be raking in a mad amount of tdp's after anyway. I'd be interested to know what his average tdp gain per day is on a good one.
