I have no idea what density means. I am trying to fill in the missing hardness data for bones, but don't know how to calculate density? Is it related to hardness?

I really hope so, because I just spent an hour gathering all the different bone types ;)

density = mass / volume

Take the total weight of the item, divide it by the volume of bones to achieve density. This effectively gives you the weight per unit of crafting material. Density usually has a direct effect on the overall stats of the end product, making density an important piece of information for each material type. Some materials do not have a specific density, but rather a density range (ie cloth, as fibers can be spun to a range of thicknesses).

use increments of 10- 10, 20, 50, 100 to get a better density than dividing 123 stones by 8 or whatever.
