The cleric tree has them too (well, ths plus signs). A couple people suggested on IM a way to see which spells were linked for things that didn't have lines. (There's two necro spells that have requirements in several spell trees).
If people don't like them, they can easily be removed. So far it's been more people wanting them than not though. I guess that's not really on the key, heh.
