I am fighting in an invasion, The numbers fall against me. I die and my shield drops from my hand. I see who grabs my shield but there is nothing i can do about it till i get back on my feet. Shield is a crested shield that does not have a lot of coin value a few plat but has a lot of sentimental value. When i get back on my feet and get the rest of my gear i start after the individual. I follow them across a ferry and a gondola ride when i get nearly to the individual they log out. Grave robbin mechanics kick in. The shield returns to the spot it fell at. <GROAN> By the time i can make it there of course the shield is gone. I have no idea if they logged in someone else to pick it up or had a friend do it or if someone else entirely grabed it.

Do i still have consent on the one that grabed my shield? Even though they logged and don't have it anymore. Do i have consent on him until my shield is returned? Is it a one death consent or is it open ended till i get my item back? Thanks for the information, I REALLY WISH THIS WAS Hypothetical but it is not and has happened to me recently.

Heck yeah you have consent. The fool not only stole it, but abused the system my logging off which is a no no. So I would not only hunt him down, but make him pay for it.

I kinda wish you posted this person's name. I would like to keep an eye out for this transgessor and make it a point never to drag his carcass if I see him.
