There doesnt seem to be a topic for policy complaints, specifically complaints reguarding an unwritten policy.
<"Engage in "disruptive behavior" in chat areas, game areas, bulletin boards, or any other area of the Services. Disruptive behavior shall be deemed to include, but will not be limited to, conduct which purposefully interferes with the normal flow of dialogue in a Service area. Disruptive behavior shall also include, but not be limited to, commercial postings, solicitations and advertisements."
Due to the nature of the folder any posting within would constitute 'disruptive behavior' as there is always someone getting a tonguelashing, however at no time is another guilds ability to post or respond within the sanctuary of its own folder disrupted by our conflict folder. There is no useful exchange within this one folder to qualify for interuptions to a Service area being that its sole purpose is for players to hash out individual conflicts, whether it be with another player, guild, or NPC. So when was this secret policy put into effect?
<Now, while in no section does it explicitly come straight out and say "GvG is bad. Don't do it," one must allow that
1) GvG behavior is disruptive to the environment it is used in (ie, here on the boards), and 2) the fact that GvG is not expressly written out in policy for you does not mean that it is excluded from what we are instructed to pull.
I can understand no GVG in a general discussion folder but not in this folder, unless someone became too obsessed or bordered on harassment. Even so that does not make it disruptive to the message boards or the overall gaming environment and in fact for those that dont have their own gonif in every guild we can actually learn something about other guilds through a conflictual argument. So any chance on clearing up the ambiguity of 'disruptive' and why its definition has been broadened to include almost everything?
Don't trust urologists. They're only looking out for number one.
