I've never had one done before, and I was just wondering... do I have to catch the GM online to actually receive my item? I'm asking because I work really weird hours and it took me two days to knock back and forth three messages with whomever was working on it, but its been five days since I signed the scroll and I haven't heard anything back.

Normally I'd give it some more time - I see people here going up to a month without hearing anything back - but because I was receiving such quick responses last week until I signed the scroll it made me wonder if I had to actually be online at the same time as the GM to get the item.

Sometimes it can take a while. I've got scrolls for different characters i started 2 months ago and if there's materials involved that you are required to provide then you do have to be online the same time as the Alterer. That's the tricky part, as they may have stuff going on in their lives, as does the player. Sometimes though, you and the Alterer hit times just right and it can take a few days, but other times it can take months depending on the circumstances.
