Tinkerer Ezzaru was on hand tonight and worked with Jisi to release a handful of special invitations to access to new hut on Fate's Fortune Lane in Fang Cove. His intent is to test his tools doing customized work for these individuals before considering a full scale opening to the public. Depending on the outcome, this could be a matter of days or weeks, he hopes.

Interested parties should keep a check on their documentation and the hut in Fang Cove.

The return of custom LTBs is near. We're testing the updated system with the five raffle winners tonight. To go along with this, the documentation in PREMIUM 11 has been updated -- particularly PREMIUM 11 6. If you intend to get a custom LTB in the future, please take the time to read all of this. There are timers involved that can be avoided if you simply follow the directions. The process of getting these requests into the system can be intensive, so the timers are necessary. We can review them in the future. Until then, though, please take the time to read up on the process.

In general, the four custom options (titles, signature verbs, ezscripted items and ezatmo'd items) all make use of the scroll system that Loriale heads with regular alterations. They do not use the same set of scrolls, however. Custom LTBs have their own set of scrolls and are NOT for general alterations. Like Loriale's, you do not need to be online at the same time to have the work done. If you change your mind, you can DROP the scroll to be removed from the system; you should also discard the extra item for titles and signature verbs as well, but more on that in a bit.

EZScript and EZAtmo items function pretty much exactly the same as Loriale's scrolls -- hold the item to be modified in your left hand, GET a scroll, and fill in your request with WRITE NEW. These will likely take more room than you can fill in one message, so simply submit it and wait for Ezzaru to contact you with feedback and/or to ask for more.

Signature verbs and custom titles are different. Instead of getting a scroll, you'll GET {METAL} OBJECT, where {METAL} depends on the benefit you're after. SILVER is for titles, COPPER is for signature verbs. This will give you a copy of the object AND a scroll. You must attune the scroll to the object and use that coordinate with Ezzaru. Instructions are given when you pick up one of the objects. You'll use WRITE NEW {STUFF}, where {stuff} is the title or signature verb messages you're after. If it won't all fit, just wait for a response from Ezzaru to get the rest. When these are completed, you will RUB the silver/copper object you were given to have the benefit applied. These bond to the person picking them up, so can't be transferred.

One thing to note is that these new scrolls all reserve 1800 points: the cost of a title. The other 3 custom options cost more. Yes, it may be possible for you to pick up a scroll without having the full amount of points available. When Ezzaru reviews these, if you don't have enough points, he will tell you to discard the scroll and try again when you do. We'll do our best to avoid letting folks spend points that they don't have, but accidents can happen. If we find that folks abuse these mechanics, we will confiscate LTBs you haven't earned and issue warnings where necessary.

Provided there are no major hiccups with the initial test, we'll do a full release open to all Premium players in a week or two. If we need to, we may do another test run. In the meantime, please look over the updated information and let us know if any of it isn't clear. The process sounds more complicated than it actually is, but it's necessary. Having these benefits on the scrolls finally gets us away from the old method of leaving you stuck with a benefit even if it turned out we couldn't do what you wanted. This wasn't ideal, no one liked being in that position, and we hated putting them in that position. A little up front work with this new process to avoid running into that is good for both sides. If you decide you don't want whatever benefit you got a scroll for, you can simply DROP the scroll without losing any points.
