Hello there, I was just wondering if there was any way that the halfling-only knolls could be reclassified as bonus positive for Ranger's. As it stands right now, 90% of the rooms in Arthe Dale are already, including the non-olvi housing area a few rooms away. If not, thats quite alright, I just had to ask on behalf of all the Olvi Ranger's that wish they could spend more time in thier homes.

Is that right, Sarvatt, about 90% of Arthe Dale being Ranger-positive? I thought the entire village was neutral? Fizzia has a hard time visiting me if I don't leave the village, I'd love to find out otherwise.
Not sure about getting knolls ranger-friendly.
If the village isn't ranger-friendly, I've always thought a "go path" to a small campground would be cool. Like a 2-room area maybe, one with a working fire pit for campfires and a picnic table, the other for the tent or whatever.
I'll be interested in seeing what you find out.

Iocanthe, what do you mean? I have a home in Arthe Dale that is neutral when I pace inside of it, a home in Riverpine that is bonus positive, and my wife's manor in Crossings is bonus negative. I've noticed that the room wilderness levels are a range, and when you pace and see that it is neutral, it isn't always the case. The knolls are neutral when you pace, but they are on the urban side of it as you lose bonus being there. Most of the other rooms around the town are neutral, but you regain bonus in em. That's especially noticable in the garden. The non-Olvi housing area is wilderness when ya pace. I'm headed back from Aesry, and I'll double check on all of the rooms that are bonus positive that Fizzia can stay in, Mykk. Thanks for the response!

Hmm.. I seem to have misunderstood the question. To my knowledge, there was nothing different on the inside of homes except for the things people bought to make'em unique.
So if there's a difference to rangers inside homes... I don't know how it got there! (Area building is not my strongest suit, and environmental-type issues are definitely way down on the list of things I can make sense of.)
Perhaps someone on the Ranger boards might have a better answer for you on this particular issue. I do know that they were checking a lot of areas to make sure that everything that should be ranger friendly actually was, a while ago.
Iocanthe, who doesn't always have all the answers.

Iocanthe,
It does seem like certain variables for our homes are actually attached to the room location where the home is (odd as that may seem). I figure if I can look out my window and see that room, then there is indeed an attachment there. I hadn't tried the Ranger pace (but I will now that our Olvi friends have brought it up - I have a home that appears to be rural, and my brother's place is in downtown Crossing), but I do know that mana for the various types within my several homes has generally been about equivalent to the mana level outside the door for those types.
Hope that helps.

Verrry interesting.
I know just enough about homes to know how to break them real good... but I'm not telling how, because I know some people are silly enough to run out and try the things that would break their homes!
If anyone does more research on this, I'd be interested in hearing the results, for educational purposes. :)
