Not sure if this has been suggested already or not but maybe pets that are summoned via whistle or something and are purely fluff. Like Crickets but with more to choose from than bugs, toads, or birds. IE: snakes, domesticated critters, rabbits, cats. How you can tell them from Warrior Mage's is by looking and seeing they have a tag or mark. Each having personality traits that are randomly picked up upon purchase or adopting.

House pets are sold in various shops throughout Elanthia and at Festivals, also in Frothers in the Seacaves (just inside the portal).
