why do warrior mages get all types of animal familiars when rangers only get a raccoon and a wolf
technically they aren't animals they could look like anything because they're made from aether

I would suggest you be thankful that you have "familiars".
go check out some of the other guilds without them, like trader? then you can go back to being a ranger, happy and satisfied that you are in one of the most fully developed guilds in the game.
This is most definitely the wrong place for this discussion. This is for discussion pets that go in a home. Warrior Mages summon an Aethereal Spirit, and it takes whatever shape we happen to carve the talisman into. They are not animals.
