How does the alteration process work for items that would require another item. Say I want to add shadesatin to my cloak or a gem to the hilt of my blade. How would I go about it an alteration scroll since I'm required to hold the scroll in one hand and the item in the other?
Can I have racial or profession items created? Examples: an Elven hunting sword with a ruby encrusted hilt, a heavy forester's mantle crafted from fine Elven wool. The rules on the website seem to be outdated because I had racial items created at the fest and a whole lot of racial and profession based items done that didn't follow the regulations found on the website.
Can magic items like the the vit healers and stun hider be altered?
Thanks,
Pathyn

Get the scroll with the base item in hand, do it like normal, and indicate you have the required material. Then sometime later, you will need to work out a time with a GM to hand over the material.

Generally speaking, racial items require a face to face alterer, as do certain profession items. It can't hurt to ask, but have a backup design in mind if they say no.
>Can magic items like the the vit healers and stun hider be altered?
Unless something has drastically changed, they don't do magical or heavily scripted items through LTB scrolls.
