When counting the number of poles that come in the box, there's an extra space between short and poles. I think I saw someone on the forums say that they had trouble getting poles back into the box, and I'm wondering if that's why.
Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

From what I can tell, there are numerous small differences between the forging bits sold in different places, like a few copper difference in app price. I suspect each container is hard coded to only accept items with a specific set of properties, and this difference is enough to throw it off.
I don't think it's going out on a limb to say it's almost certainly a bug.
