Just an update for those considering the skefne:

The skefne does fit back in its harness now and the harness measures 30 x 2 x 1 x 100.

Also, yet more proof that the old claymore sheath is ridiculous:

You rummage through a claymore sheath and see a capstan bar, an ilglaiks skefne (long spear) tipped with a gleaming green stone sharpened to a razor edge, a bastard sword and some covellite box-jaw tongs.
