Thank you SO much for doing the galleon voucher right up front so everyone could relax!

Or so everyone could bid on every item. There's not much strategy with that out of the way and the odds where they are. Everyone will bid on all. They could just draw 25 names and save us the next hour.

Pretty much this, I do appreciate the effort involved on Mahilin's part running it and the others that put it together though.

Statistically speaking your odds of winning are 1 in several hundred. I.E. not good. No significant volume of players was going to hold off bidding on any item, that's the nature of the token auction.

I'm only one person, but I had planned to bid on nothing else but the boat. ::shrugs::

IMO, it would have been more interesting if you had to place your token on just one of the items. That way, you can strategize about the odds. Do you want to take a minuscule chance on the big-ticket item, or do you want to take a bigger chance on a less popular item?

As designed, the event is more of a raffle where you can buy one ticket for every item until you either win something or they run out of items. That's fun, but there isn't a lot of room for strategy, as most players bid on every item regardless of interest.

Or at least divvy the items up into different boxes or whatever and force people to select one group of items to buy into.

It's still a raffle not an auction, but I also wish they'd left the boat until later.
