I've been working on updating the wiki Alteration Materials lists (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Alteration#Restricted_Materials) to bring them a bit more up-to date. I've come across a number of items that I can't seem to find documentation on if they should or shouldn't be on there, so just going to post the list here. Sorry for the length of the list, although considering the extremely large amount of possible items, there aren't that many that need clarification.
* desumos leather & bone (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Item:Desumos-pelt_leather), cloud-white leather from Bulls (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Cloud-white_leather), wood drake bones (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Wood_drake_bone): These were all critters during the various Taisidon events. Wasn't sure if it was an oversight that you don't need to supply the mats, since you do need to supply Taisidon gems, fabrics, etc.
* white diamonds (https://elanthipedia.play.net/White_diamond): These are actually referenced in one of the shop signs for Immok. & Son along with some other gems that are still required. I see there is a white diamond item that rotates thru at Trevellyn's (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Trevellyn%27s_of_Leth_Deri%27el), so if that's considered a 24/7 shop then this is now "common"? I'm not seeing it on any of the GM-sanctioned lists, but since it was at one point, figured I'd double check...
* blackened bones (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Blackened_bone), bulbous bones (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Bulbous_bone), charred bones (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Charred_bone), sickle bones (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Sickle_bone): it looks like these are found only during HE events, just wanted to get GM confirmation that any/all of them are needed for alterations.
* Seordstone (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Seordstone): This can be hunted for on Taisgath, but all the current items that use it are rare/auction quality. Just double checking if it is considered common or rare.
* various lumberjack-available woods (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Category:Woods): So, there are a number of Rare & Very Rare woods that you can get via lumberjacking that are still marked as required for alterations (ex. https://elanthipedia.play.net/Kapok), likely from before the system was released and they were rare. Should the woods now currently available via lumberjacking 24/7 (so not the Taisidon Safari woods) be switched over to "common" and no longer needed for alterations?
* ban-minahle wood (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Ban-minahle), flamethorn wood (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Flamethorn), gethwood (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Gethwood), goldenoak (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Goldenoak), Hhr'lav'geluhh (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Hhr%27lav%27geluhh), huljik (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Huljik), Ilithian cedar (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Ilithian_cedar), Ilithic applewood (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Ilithic_applewood), ke'nag (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Ke%27nag), Mikkhalbamar (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Mikkhalbamar), plumwood (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Plumwood), taborwood (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Taborwood), tulvora (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Tulvora): I can't find any GM notes on these, if they are considered rare or not, but it does look like currently, all the documented items are festival/event quality.
* On rare flowers, I just pulled from the Wedding team list, but obviously there's tons of flowers out there. Here's a link to the current "rare flowers" category if a GM wanted to take a quick peek and double check if any of the others should be on the "must provide" list: https://elanthipedia.play.net/Category:Rare_flowers
* And on the rare flowers, I'd like to put a note for clarification on the Alteration page; does an actual flower need to be provided, or will an item that has a representation of that flower be enough, or is it subjective to what work the person wants done? For instance, if someone wanted to add a phofe flower design to an armband, do they need to have an actual picked/purchased flower (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Item:Dusky_purple_phofe_flower) or would something like this weapon (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Weapon:Steel_misericorde_with_a_carved_amethyst_pommel) engraved with a phofe qualify?

rare material questions (long list!) on 11/11/2018 03:39 AM CST
Re: rare material questions (long list!) on 11/14/2018 12:42 PM CST
I'm going to answer this to the best of my abilities!
>>* desumos leather & bone (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Item:Desumos-pelt_leather), cloud-white leather from Bulls (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Cloud-white_leather), wood drake bones (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Wood_drake_bone): These were all critters during the various Taisidon events. Wasn't sure if it was an oversight that you don't need to supply the mats, since you do need to supply Taisidon gems, fabrics, etc.<<
Yes, the Taisidon creature materials would need to be provided for alterations.
I'm not seeing it on any of the GM-sanctioned lists, but since it was at one point, figured I'd double check...<<
I would need the shopowner to weigh in on this, so unfortunately I don't have an answer for you in regards to white diamonds.
>>* blackened bones (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Blackened_bone), bulbous bones (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Bulbous_bone), charred bones (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Charred_bone), sickle bones (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Sickle_bone): it looks like these are found only during HE events, just wanted to get GM confirmation that any/all of them are needed for alterations.<<
The HE-exclusive crafted materials would need to be provided for alterations.
>>* Seordstone (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Seordstone): This can be hunted for on Taisgath, but all the current items that use it are rare/auction quality. Just double checking if it is considered common or rare.<<
Seordstone talons don't need to be provided for alterations, if that's what you were trying to reference.
Should the woods now currently available via lumberjacking 24/7 (so not the Taisidon Safari woods) be switched over to "common" and no longer needed for alterations?<<
Even though some rare woods are available via lumberjacking, they would still need to be provided for alterations. This is similar to how some rare metals like glaes and haralun are available via mining, but would also need to be provided for alterations.
>>* ban-minahle wood (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Ban-minahle), flamethorn wood (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Flamethorn), gethwood (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Gethwood), goldenoak (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Goldenoak), Hhr'lav'geluhh (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Hhr%27lav%27geluhh), huljik (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Huljik), Ilithian cedar (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Ilithian_cedar), Ilithic applewood (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Ilithic_applewood), ke'nag (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Ke%27nag), Mikkhalbamar (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Mikkhalbamar), plumwood (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Plumwood), taborwood (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Taborwood), tulvora (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Tulvora): I can't find any GM notes on these, if they are considered rare or not, but it does look like currently, all the documented items are festival/event quality.<<
Ilithic applewood is the only one listed that needs to be provided for alterations.
>>* And on the rare flowers, I'd like to put a note for clarification on the Alteration page; does an actual flower need to be provided, or will an item that has a representation of that flower be enough, or is it subjective to what work the person wants done? Actual flowers need to be provided if actual flowers are intended to be in the altered item. For example, if a person wanted 'an elaborately woven wreath of dusky purple phofe flowers', they would need to provide the flowerrs. If they only wanted 'an elaborately woven wreath of sculpted silver phofe flowers', they would not need to provide the fresh flowers.

I've completed updating the notes from GM Winna's post on these, thanks again for that!
So at least of today, the following wiki page is a culmination of the Witch's list, the Wedding team list and the documented rare items from the wiki itself that are needed for alterations.
https://elanthipedia.play.net/Alteration#Restricted_Materials
Of course, if a GM notices something that should, or should not, be on that (extensive!) list, please let us know and we'll get it updated.
Additionally, over the course of the festival, a number of updates have been made to the various sections talking about alteration rules and guidelines. So, if you're gearing up for the Sunday alter-fest, hopefully you can get some ideas for your, er, ideas. :)
