With the Fest quickly approaching, I just wanted to take a minute to share a couple of quick reminders.
Not every shop is going to have an item in it that you want. Not every item in every shop is going to have uber stats. This does not mean that those shops and items stink. It means that they are not for you.
Many merchants will be visiting the Fest to customize your new items for you. Not every merchant is nice. You may be expected to RP. You may be expected to be nicer than your character would normally be. You may be expected to do many things that your character would not normally do. This does not mean that the merchant is unfair, it means that the GM running the merchant likes to RP too.
No one is entitled to an alteration at the Fest. You may make it onto a list. You may get chosen from the list, but you might not. You may get kicked out of the session if you have smelly socks, wild hair, bad manners, or any other reason that the merchant takes offense to.
Hollow Eve is a huge undertaking for all GMs on staff. Its a lot of work, and can be very stressful. For many of us, interacting with the players and running alteration sessions is a lot of fun. Bear in mind that we are doing our best to accommodate as many of you as we possibly can. Have your ideas ready. Have your rare materials on hand. Have a good attitude, and most importantly, have fun!
Thanks!
Lyneya
