Let me preface this post with a thank you to staff for all the hard work that goes into processing alterations during festivals. For those of us who truly enjoy getting things altered, the effort is truly appreciated.

Looking at the currently published schedule (via FESTIVAL ALTERATIONS), I'm struck by three things:

1. There are no "basic" sessions remaining on the calendar. From here on out, everything listed is highly specialized. Barring an unscheduled merchant appearance, or good luck during "Merchant Madness", there aren't any announced sessions remaining for folks wanting work on simpler items. (Weapons, armor, jewelry, books, etc.)

2. Not all of the complex sessions are clearly defined. As an example, Phinara just showed up for a scheduled appearance, but there was no advanced warning about the limited scope of her session. If any of the other pre-announced sessions are going to have similar restrictions, can the entries be updated?

3. There are some great sessions coming up! I'm thrilled to see some services that haven't been offered in a few years return.

Thank you for the feedback; I have passed it along to the Event Team.

We prioritized getting the most specialized sessions listed as far in advance as we could, because players sometimes want to plan around those. That doesn't mean there won't be less specialized sessions. (I know of a couple of merchants that will likely show up to do armor and clothing/jewelry.)

Keep an eye on FESTIVAL ALTERATIONS, as additional sessions may be scheduled throughout the fest.

That being said, there may be other sessions that aren't scheduled far enough in advance to be listed in FESTIVAL ALTERATIONS. We try to schedule them as far in advance as we can, but sometimes life intervenes.

If find ourselves with some extra free time, we may use that to alter under the assumption that players would prefer that we do an impromptu session if the only other choice is not to do a session at all (because we couldn't plan it far enough in advance to get it listed in-game).

For impromptu sessions, we will try to provide as much notice as we can; keep an eye on Twitter: https://twitter.com/DragonRealms

Thanks, Cordulia.

Completely understandable.

I don't, by any means, think there won't be any more general sessions. I hope I didn't give that impression. My main point is that there's also value in having a few of the mundane sessions pre-scheduled as well, when possible. I'm (usually) fortunate enough to be around when impromptu sessions are announced, but I know several folks who aren't, particularly those in other timezones.

I just wanted to put that out there for players who are less familiar with Hollow Eve alterations.

The request is noted, and we'll try to put some less specialized merchants on the schedule if we can.
