Some minor feedback on invasions:
For context, I'm not a "played before Solomon was even born!" player, but I have played a decade or so now. One of the things that I think we're sorely lacking in invasion events these days is scope. By that, I mean sheer numbers of bad guys. There have been times when I've played, and there is still the very rare invasion now, when the text horde was so vast in room to room fighting that it really felt like an invasion. I would encourage more of this.
If the concern is player whinyness due to challenge, then keep the horde monsters low level, just add them on top of the regular scaling you do. For a long time now, invasions have (with rare exceptions) feel like a race to kill what's there. I don't even attack anymore unless it's one of those rare exceptions because it feels like kicking puppies. And this is the important part--it doesn't feel that way because I play a strong character--it feels that way because there *is a ton of characters jockeying to easily wipe out the invasions I see.*
Outnumber us, even if the monsters aren't dangerous. Numbers push up the "horde" feeling even when they're rats or something. Having to Hunt to track down possible fights in an "invasion" is not the same feeling. I'd rather dash around killing hordes of rats that we can't keep up with than stand and watch as 10 people attack a greater skeleton. Can we do both?
Just some thoughts. All round, events are amazing right now. This is obviously a very minor post for consideration. A quick search will show me begging for any invasions at all, so I appreciate very much the activity these days across the board. However, if there are system resource allocation decisions to be made, I would advocate the upper prioritization of "horde potential" invasions in the mix.

You've created a critter that can engage in swarm without the 4 limit?
or
You've located Phii, and are secretly holding her to make more text based shame comics, that's just really wrong. So I hope its the first.

>>I believe there is a reason they don't swarm like they used during the Gorbesh War. The realms crawls to a screaming, I mean SCREAMING hault. Of course since then things could have changed...
Computers have gotten vastly more powerful since the Gorbesh War - we aren't nearly as concerned with resources in general. Is it possible for us to hang the game or slow it down? Yeah. But it's harder.

I crashed the test instance with a sharknado once...
but I'd love 100+ critters in a room, I'd lock debilitation and TM so fast.

<<...but I'd love 100+ critters in a room.>>
Ignoring the specific number 100 for a moment, please don't ever do this. By all means, drop like 5-10 creatures at a time in nearly every single room in the city, but overloading a single room quickly makes the game completely unplayable due to the asinine scroll. It also utterly destroys any attempt at storytelling, which is the whole point of events in the first place. You can still generate the "holy crap, they're everywhere!" feeling by having a handful of them in many rooms.
If you ask me, smaller numbers of more powerful foes make for better events anyway. It's far more enjoyable for me when people are actually challenged by the attackers, and receiving their share of damage (without just getting completely exploded...it's a fine line, I'm sure). The champion creatures are perfect for this. It's not nearly as much fun to watch people mow through 926,133 overly-fragile enemies per second while not even getting attacked, let alone hurt (see adan'f invasions in Shard).
Just some thoughts from a slightly different perspective.
Thanks,

> It's not nearly as much fun to watch people mow through 926,133 overly-fragile enemies. Other comments from various people about invasions not being hard or 'big' enough.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but not all invasions are really intended for the direct combat abilities of all levels of characters at the exact same time (or at all). Just as lower level people often end up helping by dragging bodies, gathering lost weapons, or helping out in triage when the invasion creatures are too tough for them to fight, higher level people can find other things to do with themselves if the direct fight is 'too easy' for them.
If you (general you, not anyone in specific here) find yourself mowing through everything that fast, kindly consider stepping back and letting the lower level PCs have their moment in the sun. Higher level characters could help them with organization and tactics advice, disablers, buffs, maybe thinning the numbers a bit, but with some restraint, everyone could possibly have much more fun.
