1) I both like and dislike that this is a very straightforward point-earning system. On one hand, there wasn't much variety, and I wish there were more "things" I could have done. I don't really count the ward puzzle as an entertaining alternative, since I don't believe it gives any non-fame rewards like killing mobs does, which might be incorrect and/or unfair. On the other hand, after a few runs of House of the Revenant Fang I tended to hate having to do the dye puzzle at the start, so it's not like those can't get stale, either.
2) I really appreciated the recalls that were added to the antechamber*, and the area was fun to explore explicitly because the "lore" area wasn't part of a timed "quest" area. I really got to take in the sights.
3) While I don't like raffles where people can buy infinite tickets, it would have been neat to have some raffles that were capped at a single purchase.
4) I was pleasantly surprised that the majority of price changes resulted in things being notably cheaper. I'd probably be a bit annoyed if I purchased something like the +3 astrolabe a few months ago, though. I picked up the Machinist's Touch bracer this time around explicitly because it went from costing 1000 fame to 500. Mixed with general scoin purchasing bonuses, the free monthly coins, and the summons sale, it was a lot closer in the realm of what I'd see as a reasonable price to spend (aka: "classic" quest prices). That said, I still think things are a bit on the "too high" end by default, which is why I'm going to continue waiting until there are notable sales and/or a natural 2x multiplier active.
5) Items with new stats should have some way of telling that they're different from the get-go. This situation was especially highlighted by the appendage weapons, where three of the four were updated (why wasn't the fourth one updated, anyway?). I'm not saying totally reskin the weapon: something like changing "a detached clockwork appendage surmounted with a slender blade" to "a detached clockwork appendage surmounted with a narrow blade" would be more than enough. Please adjust an adjective or material or something to avoid confusion when people are looking up items on epedia or not able to tell if the thing they're possibly buying off another player at a trader table is the 1.0 or 2.0 version of the item.
6) I'm wondering if the lack of notable fanfare this time around is a good or bad thing right now. The event just kinda... happened. On one hand, I like that these just come and go like the tides, because it gives me the impression that beyond the background prep work, it's assumed these will now be selling/promoting themselves (so it won't be as "big" of a time investment as the initial ones that constructed all the infrastructure). On the other hand, I'm concerned this just means GMs are so swamped they don't even have time to toot some horns about these events anymore, which would be even worse.
7) I wish these events did more to integrate themselves into the main game. I know this is a double edged sword, where making a "regular" event merge with a "paid" event results in people feeling the plot conclusion has a paywall, so I'm hoping there become some middle ground solutions that can be developed, like having the zones exist in the normal game (including things to hunt!) while the "quest" versions are actually a cloned instance.

This please. Even if you only change a single word in the tap, it makes documentation so much easier. (When items have identical taps, we have to create disambiguation pages for each item, link the two versions, and then make both item pages link to the disambiguation page.)

I can only speak for myself, but I actually prefer not having these events rubbed in my face for two weeks every other month; it reminds me of how development resources are being prioritized.

I didn't mind how it was advertised this time around, either. A general announcement on the forums and/or a NEWS item in game once it's out wouldn't hurt for those who don't follow the forums/wiki/email as closely as some (like myself) do probably wouldn't hurt, though.

My two cents on this mainly involves the pricing of the prizes this run versus the first one.
Astrolabes (+ luck items) --
First run, these were 100, 400, 800, 400, and 400 (+1 with rebounds, +2 with rebounds, +3 with rebounds, +1 without rebounds, and +1 group without rebound) but for the recent run, several of them took a huge cut in the price...100 (0), 225 (-175), 350 (-450), 350 (-50), 400 (0). 2 stayed the same, one had a slight reduction in cost, but the +2 and +3 took a roughly 45% cut in price and roughly 55% cut in price. I bought the +2 (400 fame) on the first run and was ticked about how cheap it was this run by comparison. It'd have been REALLY pissed if I had paid 800 Fame ($80, roughly) and bought the +3 fame astrolabe only to see it at 350 ($35, roughly) this go around.
Hiders --
First run: 200 (armor), 300 (camb/containers/gweths), 300 (camb/containers/jewelry/skinknife/gweth), 350 (weapons/armor), 1000 (omnihider)
This run: 50 (armor), 110 (camb/containers/gweths), 150 (camb/containers/jewelry/skinknife/gweth), 110 (weapons/armor), 1000 (omnihider)
Again, some serious reduction in prices for this run versus the first one with the exception of the hider that everyone ACTUALLY WANTS, the omnihider. $100, awesome.
The Imperial cloak INCREASED from 300 ($30) to 550 ($55) Fame this run -- so much for getting that item. And 600 Fame ($60) for a sling and senci shard?? Really?
I spent a whole $20 this run just to get something useful in combination with the Fame I accrued by spending the free monthly simucoins I had on my two accounts.

> And 600 Fame ($60) for a sling and senci shard??
Sling > Bow now. Shards don't lodge. Senci doesn't break (I think per K post on ammo breakage). If you purchased during the 15% off time this was well worth it since slings aren't craftable and this one is WAY better than all the others IG.
You slap Voldag hard in the face with your hand, making a nice crisp smack!! That's going to leave a mark!

Being this the first paid event I attended in awhile, I was glad to notice price reductions on things I particularly wanted IE. repair kit. One thing that has been a bit discouraging is, this time around I had extra so I went for the tattoo voucher. The night I got it I sent an e-mail to dr-events@play.net with details on a tattoo I was considering. More than two weeks later... no response. I guess the time limited redemption policy on the voucher was for THEM not ME. Kind of sad.

I'm still confused about the calcified leaf drop rate in Prime. Are they supposed to be THAT rare? To the point where no one found one last time, and no one found one this time. A GM seriously might want to check the drop rate on these, a decimal point might be in the wrong spot. How ever the stalk weapons are all over the place, I found two. T_T
