We do have 'ninja powder' in the form of thug powders already. They're a bit rare but have a few different flavors I think. There's a formal name for them, but thug powder on epedia should find them.

I think we also have writable books for spell cases, which were turned off due to some system issue, I think?

Not trying to dismiss your ideas, just wanted to point out that you could grab similar in a few cases already.

Not even remotely close to what the OP suggested.

Do you get a charge out of being as deliberately abbrasive and unhelpful as possible?

Try qualifying or explaining your 'NO YOU ARE WRONG' post.

Because I quite clearly disagree.

Well, he is sort of right, though. The thug powders reveal hidden targets when you throw them. I think there is green and violet and one will reveal RF type invis and the other reveals people who are physically hiding. I could be wrong, it's been a long time since I've used them, but I think that's what they do. What the OP suggested was you throw powder and your next action is invisible. Although, I could point out that if people see you throwing powder in their faces, they're going to wonder what you just did.

As for the writable log book.. you said they had them and then that they were turned off. Unless I'm reading that wrong, they're unusable at the moment? He also had like 3 other ideas that you didn't cover. Not attacking or defending anyone, just saying he kind of had a point.

>>ninja powder- Can be thrown allowing you one action that is unseen by all.

...leads me to believe you would use the powder, and then the next action you do wouldn't be messaged to the room or something similar. Or would require a stealth check to escape messaging. i.e. I throw down the ninja powder and then throw some throwing blades -- It messages that "Someone throws throwing blades at so and so" but doesn't give a name.

I guess if the action of using the powder wasn't messaged to the room in such a way that it revealed the user, then yeah, that would work. That's actually not a bad idea.

I'm sorry, reading the explanation, I realize I was conflating the old cube things which were Easter eggs from boomer boxes (do they even exist any more?) which when dropped would hide the player. Not at all related to thug powders, so my bad.

Yes, but only the old supply.

The black cubes were from harvesting boxes, they only worked for thieves and only once, non-thieves just choke on the smoke and you could reuse it over and over since it didn't actually 'work'. From what I understand none's gotten them since the update to disarming/picking years? back.

The white cubes were from Jester he randomly went around dropping them before he was mysteriously kidnapped. I'm not sure if it's the same Jester who runs a shop in Therengia, but I don't believe that story was ever finished.

This actually already exists!

>>Logbooks- Writable with multiple pages

Same, although not available outside of festival merchants/quest prizes, I think.

>>ninja powder- Can be thrown allowing you one action that is unseen by all.

Also available, but only as an easter egg in the harvest system for now.

I think you can still get them from anything that only has a single trap on them (ie sand sprites and below) I've never gotten one from a multi-trap boomer box.

Sand sprites and below don't have any boomer boxes, and they can still have multiple traps.

I love the idea of an autograph book. Maybe even make it sellable, and have its value be based on the number of signers who are on the prestige boards? Or prominent NPCs (guild leaders, etc)?

>>Wax Seals- Allows one to put a seal on a closed container to tell if it has been opened.

I really like this one. Would be neat if there were a few papers with various instructions on them you could buy, then seal into envelopes. Like, "Fortify the West gate" or "Investigate [name]" or even "I leave all my coins to [name] upon my Walking". Would add some flavor to sending messages.

Is that really the same as what the OP suggested? I like the "drop to hide" idea but also the "drop to hide one action".

>>Logbooks- Writable with multiple pages

These were planned for spellbooks, yes, but system resources make them currently impossible.

It's not exactly the same, but I doubt that GMs would ever allow a 100% "not seen by all" thing.

Don't the prisoner journals in the Riot Quest writing set do this? I think they were system resources in the past, or maybe just in spellbooks, but I think there is the occasional book-you-can-write-in-but-not-anything-else thing released.

This. Even pre-nerf, you would lose invisibility for most actions that involved things or people.

Not quite what was asked for, but doesn't the stationary in Siksraja let you actually write on it?

Oh wow, that's neat. I never knew. How much writing can a paper hold?

A lot.

My biggest paper message so far I believe is "Razors are Smashers, pins are 90+ rank CJ. Coral skinning. Pearl Perception. Topaz Climbing. Emerald Evasion. Onyx Hiding. Amethyst Stalking. Sapphire Swimming. Turquoise TM. Jade Shield." Which would be 187 characters from what Open Office Writer is telling me.
