I think it would be neat if the GMs could adjust the invasion-generating NPCs during times of ongoing conflict. So for instance, maybe during the ongoing Elpalzi event, Hengwild is flipped over to produce primarily invasions of Elpalzi creatures instead of the "normal" ones. Likewise for other creatures/events/locations. This would give those of us who miss all or most of the GM-run invasions a chance to still participate in the event on some level, and reinforce the idea that the event is actually taking place even if you don't happen to be logged in at the right time. This really should be the primary purpose of the automated invasions; random invasions that have nothing to do with any plot are okay, but it would be even better if they could be tied together.

Thanks,

I'll add that this is a similar flavour to what happened during the Lyras war. Granted, those were essentially temporarily-permanent hunting grounds and due to the length of the war kind of became old hat, but this suggestion wouldn't be 24/7 like that.

Not against it... I'd like to see Hengwild and his contemporaries to have reports of undead, maybe I'm wrong but... no undead I've seen...

Still a little confused about what exactly the 'rebels' are all about.

There is no lore for these invasions so create your own.

many years ago, a simple commoner named Chaynesaww Lazserman came to the crossings. Under guildleader Gauthus's tutelage he became a powerful mage, some say too powerful. Zoluren had enlisted him to defend it's borders. He was raised to nobility by Prince Vorclaf himself, and given a position of honor at the court. But it was a mistake. Chaynesaww became more tyrannical by the day, Vorclaf would receive so many grievances, that something had to be done. Chaynesaww was banished from Zoluren on penalty of death. A great battle ensued between Chaynesaww and his old teacher, Gauthus. It seemed Gauthus was defeated, until his great bird familiar descended on Chaynesaww and plucked out his right eye. Chaynesaww fled, vowing to return, and many murmers among the commonfolk say that Chaynesaww has. under a new name. They whisper that he trained so much charisma at the cottage under cover of night, that he can convince the local populace to join him, and rebel. And so every citizen of Zoluren must be wary for the constant threat of Chaynesaww Lazserman.

I do have plans and some old approvals for a big expansion to the invasion system. When F2P went live some focus and rules changed, so I lost interest/motivation/ability to pursue it. The pendulum has swung back, so I may start this back up :)
