It seems like invisibility currently bugs the messaging output for an assassination. Both of my kills happened when I had silence up, as did me killing the person targeting me and all the messages were simply "XXX was just struck down!".
Not sure if it's definitely the case, but so far it seems that way.

There's a rather complex bug about this issue right now. I'm still digging into it.

Not in Assassins. Sounds like a tournament to me :).
