Pretty much everyone has excellent mana in the wyvern triage area except Necromancers. Is there any chance the mana value for Necromancers could be bumped up just a bit to be in line with everyone else's? It makes buffing up before spars (or healing after) a pain.

Not disagreeing, but curious how that's possible. Isn't arcane mana based on the levels of the other mana types there so if theirs is good shouldnt yours be good too?

> invoke tuner
A sharp, electric pain dances across your spine as the tuner renders an accurate image of the mana streams against your interoception.
Glowing (11/21) streams of fiery mana burn through your limbs. (elemental)
Luminous (14/21) streams of bluish-white mana flow up your spine. (life)
Shining (13/21) streams of golden mana echo through your body. (holy)
Roundtime: 12 sec.
> per
You reach out with your senses and see muted (5/21) streams of black Necromantic mana oozing through the area.

Given my admittedly amateur-hour testing with the tuner and necromana levels, I think it's Complicated. But the values can still be set manually regardless, so I'm just hoping it can get a little bump up.

Arcane is based on the other mana types. It is not remotely an average.

As a tournament director I can say it would certainly be nice if everyone had a "fair" shot.

Doesn't Meraud's commune penalize arcana mana? That makes me wonder if Holy mana just outright acts as a dampener on Arcane's life/elemental mix.

Less speculatively, Lunar mana has suffered from some unfortunate celestial arrangements recently and arcane mana is probably taken down a tick for that.

I don't know how it worked on the back end but this issue wasn't happening at duskruin.

Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

Yes, Meraud's commune raises all room-based mana while drastically lowering necromantic mana, but this effect is deliberate rather than incidental. Holy does likely have a negative effect on necromantic mana, but it actually isn't very dramatic at all and it's entirely common for there to be very good holy and very good necromantic mana in the same room. Even with that said, the mana I posted is normal for that room and it was not communed -- I double checked.

The arena itself has uniform (mediocre) mana in every room as well, something I checked after looking at the levels in triage. Based on that and Duskruin, it seems entirely possible for someone to just go in and manually set the levels, which is basically what I'm asking for. It doesn't have to be huge, just kinda roughly on par with the other types would be nice.

Can it be manually set? Easily.

However, by policy we don't manually set mana levels.

In a case like this I think you'd need to get an SGM to buy off on the change at which point someone on the magic team (like myself) could adjust it, if they didn't just do so directly.

I totally understand that. If it was any other sort of space I wouldn't even ask -- even normal gathering or other triage areas are subject to the RNG and how it falls is how it falls. I'm only ask because of the kind of space this is, and because the arena itself already appears to me to have had its mana levels set in the interests of promoting fairer events.

Now hopefully an SGM reads and thinks it's a nice idea. Thanks for the response. :>
