Good afternoon folks!
The next four Wyvern Trials (Feb 13, 20, 27, and March 6th) will have tiered tournaments, each day reflecting a different tier. The winner of each tier will win a free armor alteration with Armorsmith Kauko! The alteration will occur immediately after each tournament. Vouchers will not be handed out, so please make sure to stick around if you are the winner and be as ready as possible! Alteration will be cosmetic only, so I would not anticipate any work with soul stones or other materials that are functional beyond just their look.
Each day will have one or two different tiers going on - Wyvern Trials officially starts at 9:30PM EST, but we will be taking registrations as early as 9:15PM EST and up to 9:40PM EST. After that signing up will be closed and the matches will begin.
The tiers are broken down into the average of three different skills - shield, evasion, and either your Targeted Magic skill or your primary weapon, whichever of the two is higher. We will be taking these skills via TELLEXP, so please familiarize yourself with that command. As examples:
SHIELD: to tell me your shield skill, it would be TELLEXP URITEL SHIELD
EVASION: TELLEXP URITEL EVASION
WEAPONS: TELLEXP URITEL WEAPON ALL
TM: TELLEXP URITEL TM
So it'll be calculated by (SHIELD + EVASION + (HIGHEST WEAPON OR TM))/3. So if you have 230 evasion, 230 shield, 260 crossbow, and 300 TM, it'll be (230 + 230 + 300)/3, giving an average of 253.
Now, the tiers!

The tournaments will be 1v1 using the CHALLENGE verb. In future events, we may coordinate a free for all using the above tiers.
I may add some more information as we go along, but this should cover most everything. Look forward to you all being there!

The next four Mondays will have one (or two) of the tiered tournaments going on
Winner of each tier wins an armor alteration (total of five winners)

Also, pulling from Elanthipedia on Kauko's rules:
"Kauko is an Armorsmith first and foremost. He prefers to work with metal armors but has been known to work with other armor materials in the past. He will work with shields, because they are armor, but does not work on parry sticks."

Keep these rules in mind and come prepared with your design in mind! Doesn't hurt to have a backup as well just in case something doesn't work out exactly how you want it to because of the above rules.

Uritel - really excited about this. Especially with the knowledge ahead of time of the brackets (I fit just over (10 ranks) the midpoint of my respective bracket which gives me confidence that I can at least stand a chance and enjoy/take part in this event. Even if I'm horrid at PvP still.

Had a great turnout last night! A number of participants and a lot of spectators, pleased that the lower brackets drew a crowd!
First tier tournament (0-249 average) turned into an FFA (free for all) and wound up with two winners who tied for first - Melx and Natarian both won an armor alteration from Kauko! The second tier tournament also became an FFA due to it's popularity from the first tournament, and Giulietta made quick work of the other opponents and won an armor alteration as well.
FFA may make an appearance in the next fights, as it is up to the tournament director at the time as well as if the participants are good with it. FFA often gives an advantage to those whose skills are on average lower than their opponents - for example, Melx was the fourth highest average out of the first tournament, and Natarian was the most average skilled overall. Giulietta was the third highest in average skill, but pulled away with a quick win by convincing the other combatants to take out the hardest challenge first - and it worked!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who participated - those that helped put it together, the fighters, triage, and the spectators. It was a blast! Look forward to doing something similar to this again later on down the line. I'll make sure to post about it here, as well as on twitter, reddit, and chat about it in game so that as many bases are covered as possible.
As far as the winners, they are:
0-249: Melx & Natarian
250-499: Giulietta
500-749: Ikrin (was nearly a tie with Woten)
750-999: Korutu
1k+: Jondong
Again, thank you all to everyone that participated in some form. Hope you all enjoyed the event and the gifts!
