>ana salve
You analyze the plovik salve and learn more about its construction.
When crafting is complete this will be a type of external chest wound remedy.
You do not see anything that would prevent preparing the salve further.
From the progress so far, it looks like the salve is of superior quality.
>crush salve with pes
You need another catalyst material to continue crafting some unfinished plovik salve. You believe you can just pour or put it inside the mortar and continue crushing the unfinished remedy inside.
You get some seolarn weed from inside your scribe's rucksack.
put weed in my mortar
You cannot find a way to add that as an ingredient to the salve.
Tried adding water that didn't help either.

Storebought plovik from alchemy society, you say I should forage some more?
I'm not sure what to make of that "crush weed" comment. I can't crush them without a pestle and i'm at a step trying to put them in the mortar, are you telling me to add it to another mortar and crush it?

Herbal catalysts need to be prepared just like the healing herbs you make your potion from. Either crushed or dried, as appropriate.
Or you could buy some coal from the forging society. No prep on that.

Ah, so its just an alchemy bug that allows you to use unprepared herbal catalysts that bugs the entire mixture, got it. That fixed it, thank you!

You don't have to have mortar and pestle. The alchemy societies (I believe all of them, I could be wrong) have a grinder for crushing herbs and press for quick drying herbs, but the quality of the herb used in these, so I hear, is less than the quality used in a mortar and pestle and in a pyramid.
