Just ran into this issue tonight where someone left stuff on there.

However, when using clean it claims all the stuff was removed but the items are still on it.

You must first clean off the brazier.

clean enchanter's brazier

You prepare to clean off the brazier.

[Do you really want to clean off the brazier? Clean it one more time to end the enchanting process.]

clean enchanter's brazier

As you reach for the brazier's cap a massive ball of flame jets forward and singes everything nearby!

look on enchanter's brazier

On the enchanter's brazier you see a fragile mana fount and a bobcat rod.

Then I tried to clean it again.

> clean braz
There is nothing to clean off the brazier!

I'm not sure if this is a bug or how they are supposed to work. I've found that the 'cleaning' process cancels any halfway completed enchantments but leaves the items (maybe somewhat damaged, I don't remember). You can then start an enchant over from scratch using the same stuff, or you can take that stuff off the brazier and through it away.

Thats possible. Didn't consider that way since the items are just items and you are enchanting them that it stops that part. Clean for everything else destroys what is there though.

Break something forging? Pick up the pieces and smelt down later. Clean the anvil though and its gone.

after you cleaned it, did you try just picking the stuff up that was on it?
