I thought I racelled seeing this, but now I can't find it. Is there an "order" to which the new professional disciplines will be released?

I don't think there's a specific order, except with armorsmithing most likely being next.

i'd imagine that tinkering and shaping would be out after armorsmithing, since the engineering craft hall is already out. but what comes after that, <alchemy, outfitting, enchanting> i'm not sure. perhaps after simucom.

I thought the goal was to get one discipline under each skill out (since this is a prerequisite for the skill split). The exception is forging because it's so in demand.

That and running two forging systems at once would probably be confusing as hell.

Not to mention forging is rather dominant in the crafting landscape, literally. It takes special areas to forge, while alchemy, tanning, fletching, etc. have all been done by hand pretty much anywhere an adventurer goes since they've all been carryable.

I wouldn't want to be carrying around a 250 lb iron anvil and a furnace probably the size of a large office desk, either.

I'm wondering about this aspect of it as well. Being as prior to this, my favorite "method" of training mech has been origami, which is pretty much usable anywhere, and so far all the new craft systems <forging, carving> are pretty much confined to the craft halls.

For those who either want to be elsewhere than in town - or want to be in towns which don't have any halls, at least at present <muspar'i, anyone?>, is there going to be other crafts that are more "travel-friendly"?

Particularly poison/alchemy - having trained a thief character for years, I suppose its been drilled into me that it isn't something you want to have outsiders see you brewing. :-)

There are going to be portable training methods eventually. Heck, I think I even recall mention of portable forges as a possibility... Or maybe it was just a wish, but I think it was a possibility.
