Anyone able to post the stats on one of these? Just curious what one would come out like, and there really isn't anything on the really rare wood versions on the Epedia.
Gross. That's gross. You're gross.

I only have an outstanding quality example, but it will give you an idea how one will turn out.
A rockwood weighted staff is a quarter staff pole-ranged weapon.
A rockwood weighted staff trains the stave skill.
You are certain that it could do:
poor (2/26) puncture damage
somewhat moderate (6/26) slice damage
very severe (14/26) impact damage
no (0/27) fire damage
no (0/27) cold damage
no (0/27) electric damage
The weighted staff is well (9/17) designed for improving the force of your attacks.
You are certain that the staff is reasonably (7/17) balanced and is reasonably (7/17) suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.
You are certain that the weighted staff is a bit safeguarded against damage (10/18), and is in pristine condition (98-100%).
You are certain that the weighted staff weighs exactly 72 stones.

Here's your master-crafted one, as expected, there is not much difference:
A rockwood weighted staff is a quarter staff pole-ranged weapon.
A rockwood weighted staff trains the stave skill.
You are certain that it could do:
poor (2/26) puncture damage
somewhat moderate (6/26) slice damage
extreme (15/26) impact damage
no (0/26) fire damage
no (0/26) cold damage
no (0/26) electric damage
The weighted staff is well (9/17) designed for improving the force of your attacks.
You are certain that the staff is soundly (8/17) balanced and is soundly (8/17) suited to gaining extra attack power from your strength.
You are certain that the weighted staff is quite guarded against damage (12/18), and is in pristine condition (98-100%).
You are certain that the weighted staff weighs exactly 72 stones.
... still underwhelming given the difficulty. But, I figured maybe that's part of the 'discovery' or something :(

Anyone made weighted staff with Darkspine? Be interested in seeing impact/weight/balance on that. I updated epedia yesterday with what Darkspine makes for crook and quarterstaff. (click Expand in Very Rare if you for some reason don't know)

It could then be cross-discipline, complexity of design could affect things, and you wouldn't be overloading an existing discipline with techs. The codexes seem like something that will be used frequently for artistry-related projects anyhow.
Taking stock of its defensive abilities, and attacking with a book of apprentice carving instructions, you are certain that the dire bear is a truly skilled opponent.

Consider artistry techs divided into two trees like all the others - action and design.
So down the first three, you have painting, engraving, dying, etc. Down the second tree, you have items specific to codex designs.
