While I know you can keep requesting work orders until you get what you want, its really a pain to have to scroll through a couple of dozens of work orders to get one that suits your preferred type of work.

Is it possible to get either some option settings where we can have preferred work order type examples: knitting, decorative wear, leather armor, bone accessories...etc . This could be an option set up for careers/hobbies only as a perk, if you don't want to distribute to everyone.

And preferred volumes: small (2-3), medium (4-5), large 6+

This could work through added options when talking to the trainer, but since that would likely get clunky having to add a couple of more items to the request it would probably work better if it were set up like the store verb.

Example: (Job verb)
Job set Tailor knitted accessory small
job set Carving bone accessory large
Job list
Your current preference for your tailor career is for small orders of knitted accessories
Your current preference for your carving hobby is for large orders of bone accessories

Not going to lie, I hate the fact that taking techniques severely hinders the convenience of doing work orders.

I don't really know if something like this could be coded. The language we work in is so limiting at times.

What about checking to see if the item in your hand would qualify for the type of work order you request, and giving you an order for some number of that item if so? So you could effectively pick what you want to work on by making one before requesting the work order.

Or possibly giving a work order based on the chapter your crafting book is on if you have it in your hands.

The problem is that some items are FAR SUPERIOR for grinding the crap out of the system than others. I don't have the time/lifeforce to perfectly balance every item to prevent abuse.

For example, the festival TASK people early on let you pick from various clothing items. People just cranked out 70-trillion socks which hurt my brain.

What I probably need to spend a few months doing is rewriting the system to award coins/prestige based on the complexity and ingredient requirements for each item. Similarly, I'd love to make it so you could still turn in work orders with items of a lower quality and just be docked accordingly. This would alleviate some of the skill range concerns.

This would be an amazing quality of life update!
