The Abandoned Mine.. the rooms morph on every repop, rock type and room type. So they cycle through all types igneous/metamorphic/setemntary as they repop. There is little chance of repop with the same material there. Part of them you have Bisiswarms other part maulers. You might want to add critters you encounter to your table.

I don't think the dusk ogre tunnels are deedable, if deedable means you can just PUSH the rock to get a deed as opposed to having to use packets.

might be by accident but the first room in the duskie tunnels (through the gap on the eel side) is deedable, the remaining tunnel complex is not.

Also while Ain Ghazal is an island, my understanding of where the islands like M'Riss, Ratha, Aesry Surlaenis'a, and those place are significantly far away from Ain Ghazal, which is an island within the mainland, in P5, and downriver (quite a pace from Leth Deriel) and neighboring Shard.

I just read over a hundred posts or so, and saw nothing about Warrior Mages. Are they going to have a large part in this system? There guild is based around the elements, their affinity with the elements, and so on. I hope their ability to sense crystals, stones, metals and etc. with there magic and earth knowledge would come into play ina system that is based largely around earth. If ever a need for explosions, they have knowledge surpassing all others with their use of it throughout battles on almost a daily use for some.

I just hope things like this aren't forgotten about for a guild that lacks use in creation systems.

Why would you be able to sense crystals, stones, and metals? Without havin a spell up, you'd be jus as good as the other guy. Meanwhile, if you were a gnome or a dwarf...then I could see it.

I hope that there will be more racial systems that come into play, and I expect that if anything, mining will be the first.

Warmages would have little more reason to gain a special ability for mining minerals than a moon mage would with an ability to divine them.
There have been hints and allusions to us (I primarily play a warmage, also) working enchantments in weaponry. I think the skill of mining, if anything, should be racially biased toward dwarves and gnomes, but that's me. (Which leaves me out, as a Kaldar)
Warmages are just that- skilled in the art of conflict using magics and backing it with steel. Just that- not the artists as Bards might be, raising moral and strengthening heart, nor pure physicality of Barbarians. Paladins hold spiritual might and wrath, clerics fight for the souls of those who fall even as they sheppard the others. Moonmages foresee and augment, thiefs lurk and weaken the enemy's back line and homes, demoralizing the foe. Rangers flank and confuse the foe then melt into the wilds again.
All have a part.
There is a balance for each guild and we, each of us, gain more with each season. More spells for the Bards, Weapon forging bonuses for the Barbs, and so on.
I see no injustice and I've played each guild to some degree or another. Balanced but different.
And as for knowledge of explosions, I think that would fall to the shadows for understanding the inherant quirks.

I think both the Warmages and the Shadow folk would have a equal lead in the boom department. Warmages can do it through magic, while the shadowy people do it through conventional alcamy. Back to the mining of the riches. Oh and Claims better not be Estate only. It should be first come first serve. Just a thought.

<<while the shadowy people do it through conventional alcamy>>
because shadow folk as you put it know a certain recipe, that doesn't necessarily mean they're a master of alchemy (i assume that's the word you meant). that's quite a lore intensive ability for a guild that isn't lore primary. Plus, we..err..they'd just wait outside the mine for the miners to come out and rob them there, why get all dirty like that? I don't think any guild persay should have a bonus to mining, but rather races...and obviously dwarves would top that.

Dwarves? Why? Too much Tolkien and D&D?

As to guilkds which should have a bonus to mining, IMO Warrior Mages should be able to generate a bonus as a side-effect of at least the Earth Sense spell, if not others.

As to pearl diving, a Warrior Mage will have a good benefit from one of their spells for that, too. Maybe not a bonus to searching directly, but a definite advantage to how long they can easily searchm, using the Tailwind spell.

Think its cause of the mining in the mountains of Forfedhdar, home of the dwarves? And dwarves having a bonus makes sense to me, though it shouldn't be impossible for the other races to do. Just a lil extra.

The old thieves guild's highest members gnu how to construct bombs.
And that's no bull.
Dwarves were "long" attributed as master craftsmen in myth and lore, before Tolkien was a gleam in his papa's eye. hey crafted the chain that bound Fenris Wolf and delved for all the great treasures.
Dwarves always seem to get the "short" end of it.

Ummm. Believe me, you wouldn't want the trade-off that the Norse mythology dwarves had for their mining/crafting skill. Unless you really like only being able to be outdoors during nighttime hours only...

Stoned dwarves, gotta love 'em. Now if we could only keep them out of the liquor...

As to the WMs getting bonuses because of their earth book if your gonna go that way then Rangers should have the same bonuses. Wilderness and the Earth are the Rangers backyards. Anyhow I have to agree that I dont think any of the guilds should get any type of bonus in mining, just because someone has earth based spells doesnt mean that they would be any good at mining... atleast not any better then the guy castin holy spells. If they are gonna give somethin a bonus to mining it should be the dwarves not to a guild.

Nope... since the Gorbesh laid seige to High Hold, once upon a time, and slaughtered the Admantian Dwarves who were running from the Dark Hand, Gorbesh and any with their genetic traits are better then Dwarves and deserve a bonus! ;)

Or... Since the Dwarves enslaved Elves to work in the mines, the Elves get a bonus too...I mean generations of Elves slaving in mines should account for something!

Wait...Wait... the Gnomes... Since their small size would be perfect for a tunneling environment...they get a bonus too!

Prydaen... night vision... low light in the tunnels...sounds like a bonus to me!

Rakash... umm... somebody help me out with the Rakash, I don't know anything about them..

Elothean... hmmm negative bonus...definately

Human... well any bonus derives from a base average known as Human...so boring...

________

WM... a Rock to mud and a water spell to wash the mud away will be benificial to tunneling
MM... need gate locations in tunnels... useful...(now how we gonna get the moon to shine in them thar tunnels?)
Paladin... swords will be great as temporary supports...and shields for carrying the dirt out
empath... ... ...
thief... ... ... climbing will come in handy, but the wilderness setting won't do them any favors
barb... strength, sheilds, endurance... will be good workers
bard... enchants... just no Rakash music...grates in my ears...
cleric... ... ...

I certainly hope a few people can take a joke! ;)
