This was the first time I tried to test mode to take a shot at tinkering. Is tinkering only being done in Crossing? Is it at the Engineering Society? I tried checking at the Ratha engineering society but couldn't find where to go to do tinkering and to buy stuff for tinkering.

There's also crystal shards you can use to teleport yourself away from the crossing if you need to be somewhere else. The shards are available at any of the destination locations I believe, but for sure at the crossing one if not. Most of the special verbs you can use on the test server are listed in the link as well.

Also, I don't think anything is currently set up there, but the north east gate of crossing is where test items are often set up if they don't otherwise have a home that makes sense. E.g. when elemental weapons were being tested you could pick them up from there.

Last I checked I couldn't find teleport crystals in Test :\
