Hey all I have some news and as the subject reflects, it depends on where you stand as to how it is.
Effective May 1 (today) there is a moratorium on all charter submissions until July 1 or thereabouts.
Why?
As it has been mentioned, mechanics development is in full swing. With the significance of this development the time is needed to prioritize coding, testing, and getting all those mechanics in working order. The time required to approve a charter cannot be sacrificed at this time.
Already we are discovering that virtually every order existing will have some significant change to make to their bylaws. This will enable those existing orders to get their charters in line with mechs as we release information about mechs.
There will be some significant changes in sanctioning guidelines-- the good news for those pending, such as:
Membership requirements will be ammended and clarified to read that the sixty day time-frame is to accumulate a total of 25 members, not a total of 38 members.
Monthly meeting minimums will decrease to one a month.
NOTE
There are three orders that have applied or have been working with me to the extreme on becoming official that this does not affect. Theren Guard, Hammer and Stone, Kindred. The reason they are not affected is primarily because monies have already been subtracted and because I have already returned comments on charters and because of the length of time they have already been involved in the processes.
