I'm a very simple man with very simple tastes... Here's my 'thrown together' Shepherd's Pie:

Ingredients:
5 or 6 good sized potatos, peeled.
1 can of sweet corn.
1 large carrot, cleaned and finely diced.
1 small bottle of A-1 Sauce
1 lb of ground beef.
1 can of chicken broth.
1 stick of butter, softened.
Parmesian Cheese.
12oz sharp cheedar, grated.

The Meat:
1. Preheat the over to 375ish.
2. Brown the ground beef and drain.
3. Return pan to stove and empty corn into pan to heat.
4. Add ground beef to pan and season liberally with salt, pepper and any favorite herbs.
5. Sprinkle 3/4 of the small bottle of A-1 sauce into the mix and bring up the heat.
6. If you prefer a more gravy-like pie, add in a bit of the chicken broth and corn starch.
7. Add about 1/4 cup of the Parmasian cheese and a handful of grated cheese and mix.
8. Remove from heat.

The Taters:
1: Cut and boil potatos until tender. Drain well and empty into large bowl.
2: Season liberally with salt and peper.
3: Add butter and use electric mixer on low while SLOWLY adding in the chicken broth.
4: Add Parm and grated cheese and mix until potatoes are smooth and just start to look wet.

The Ensemble:
1: Put meat mixture into casarole dish. Add layer of cheeses.
2: Top with potatos and sprinkle cheeses on top.
3: Bake until cheese is melty and just starts to brown.

Enjoy!
