The player that has been playing Dragonrealms on and off for years, known as Mekhi, has passed away. He had a few alts, one of which was Jamaru - A character we both trained and played. I was his best friend since the third grade. We were room mates together after high school of which most of the time we played DR together in the same room.
I know most people that might have known or had interactions with him probably will not miss him. He was an evil smug bastard in the game.
But he was the most amazing friend and everybody that has ever met him IRL enjoyed his company.
Jamaru is one of the things we enjoyed talking about together everytime we were able to hang out.
I will be continuing to enjoy Dragonrealms without my best friend.

What a staggering blow to the world. I am horribly sad to hear this, Mekhi was one of the funniest guys I've ever met anywhere. I have many good memories of us killing time concocting fun schemes which often involved his beloved finger puppets. And of course the ploy to snatch his crown. My heartfelt condolences to all. Rest in peace Julius, Brutus will remember you.
He had a lot of fun ideas. I remember him taking me for my first trip down the old mining carts atop the Fist. He protected me from the imps all the way up, then he jumped too early. He got hit by the cart when I jumped in, rolled over him again halfway down, and finally died when he hit the bottom. Or the time he blew up infront of the empath's guild and departed after he was healed but before he got raised, just to annoy Evro.
Still miss him lots.
