I was thinking the Victory Cafe on Markham just south of bloor, its cheap, quiet and generally not so busy which is always nice. The food isn't half bad either.
And how about Saturday August 2nd for a date?

I was trying to list locations that people would easily identify. My "headbanging, drug and/or alcohol induced coma, university" days are somewhat fewer and much further between now :o)
Any GTA location is fine for me. Saturday the 2nd, however, is my 7 year old's birthday bash. Friday the 1st maybe?
Cheers - "Cyllwdd" (Another one with Stones tickets)

That whole weekend is booked with my boyfriends birthday. He's been hinting for a surprise birthday party all year. Should I surprise him and not show up? Just kidding.
If you guys want to go ahead by all means, just keep me posted for the next one. I got Stones tickets too! I went and did that hotel/Second City deal a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome. I got to stay at the Royal York.
Cheers,
Anabel

Not showing up would be surprizing wouldn't it ;o)
Hotel packages with the tickets? (I was at the Royal York last Thursday / Friday and the Chelsea Saturday / Sunday, "gotta" love expense accounts.) I heard something about packages in TO but hadn't checked into it - maybe a good idea if it worked for you folks.
Another time is probably a good idea, give more people a chance to check in here too. There seemed to be several interested not long ago.
I'll show up at the indicated location (Victory Bar at 205 Markham?) on the 1st anyway - gives me an excuse to get out for a pint or ten before a weekend knee-deep in 7 year olds. <shudder>
Cheers

Indeed 205 Markham, its a good place, name a time and I'll be there. Maybe we can make it a monthly thing. I would love to get to know more players up here in Toronto.

I'm at my "St. Kitts" office that day so I could get to TO by about 7:00pm.
Sounds like a good idea to make a monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, etc (grin) gathering available for anyone who wants to drop in (precursor of "Simucon north"? cheap dollars and good beer up here...) And I concur, it would be nice to meet people who don't simply assume I'm showing signs of becoming a shut-in and shake their heads while making soothing sounds whenever I mention an on-line game :o)
I'll try to be over there for 7:00pm Friday the 1st. To save shouting something about "lousy Rt's" and seeing whom responds (and since I loathe name tags): I'm a caucasian male, approx 30 years, 5'10", 175 lb, dark blonde hair, blue eyes, usually encountered in a suit or business casual and carrying a pint of Kilkenny or Guinness. I've been known to respond to "Chris" or "hey you".
Still getting the first round :o)
