Its a nice hotel in a decent area (lots of restaurants around in walking distance).
I don't know really what to tell you if you feel its an outrageous price, except perhaps to see if you can find people to room with to help defray costs.

I'm working on getting my passport atm and my bank account is being padded in anticipation. I'm not a 100% attendee yet, but the chances are looking good 2011 will finally be my Simucon year.

Oh, and I vaguely recall someone mentioning something about two airports or terminal in St Louis, and that one of them is ridiculously closer to the hotel?
If so, could I get more details so I don't end up researching/purchasing tickets to the wrong one. The one I've found is STL.

Thanks for the heads up Evran! I'll definitely keep that in mind--A bunch of my friends had talked about going this year too so I'm trying to see if they're going to flake out or not at the moment :P
Also yea, if anyone knows any magic flights or whatever that are super inexpensive please share that information :)

You'll want the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport (STL) which is the main airport used by the city. There is also a free shuttle bus to and from the airport to our hotel from this airport.
The St. Louis Downtown Airport (CPS) is near downtown and the one you do not want. Though I don't think it is very easy to get a flight in there.
