There was a lot of hoopla when it first came out, about how it was unparalleled with speed.
I think that it tends to be optimized for google searches (duh!) and have noticed a slight increase in speed over Safari. Anything is better than IE (imho). I tend to stick to FireFox.
I saw a report somewhere in which they tested the speed. It was all pretty equal according to the test, but who knows.
I like the simple look.

I like that if one tab crashes it doesn't take the entire thing down with it, which I've had happen with Firefox more than once in the past. Dragging tabs from one window to another or out into its own window is also smoother than with Firefox. Or at least with the version of Firefox I have anyway, not sure if it autoupdates or not.

I loved Opera but I couldn't use it for editing Google Docs, which I need to do pretty frequently. (Maybe this has changed.) So I switched to chrome. I still miss some things about Opera, but it hasn't been too horribly painful and yeah, it does seem pretty snappy. It does the job I need it to do and I rarely intrudes itself into my browsing experience, if that makes sense.
I used Firefox when I was running Linux for a few years, and I didn't like it as much as chrome. I'm not sure why, but there you go.

Started using it last summer. Only use Safari/Firefox for debugging now.
I like the sandboxing, the extensions, and the speed of it. The google account sync is wicked helpful with being on different workstations during the day too.

And I just upgraded to IE9 today. It looks like(drum roll please), Google Chrome. I'd actually switch to Chrome if someone could just show me how to import my bookmarks from IE in a common sense way. I don't want it listed as imported from IE. I do not wanted it listed alpabetical, I want it the way I have it in IE.
