MY wife, Heather and I are going to be coming in Wednesday afternoon sometime. I want to take her to the Stratosphere so she can check out the rides. Anyone interested in making this a group thing? If you haven't ridden the rides on the strat, you have no idea what you're missing. The big-shot and the roller coaster are awesome, but if you're deathly afraid of heights, I wouldn't suggest the x-scream. That one actually takes you out over the edge of the building, and you're almost 1000 feet in the air.
Let me know, and we'll start planning.

We will be flying in bright and early Wednesday morning. A group outting sounds like fun, but... yes. I am deathly afraid of heights. Is anyone thinking about dinner Wednesday night, or a good place to meet and hang out?

We won't be getting in until Thursday evening... but we're staying over until Monday (a night's hotel stay costs one third of what plane tickets on Sunday cost) if anyone wants to do something Sunday afternoon.

And yes, I've been up in the stratosphere and those rides just irk me the wrong way.

Now, I enjoy a good rollercoaster, but I think I'll pass on that one. I'm all for meeting up with some folks and watching someone else brave it, though.

Oh, so go and make a liar out of me, Ceosanna. Just to clear it though, there are three rides. The big shot, which shoots you strainght up. The roller coaster, with the name I can't remember, and then there's the X-scream, the thing that takes you out past the edge of the building.

As far as I am concerned, you'll be the only one.
Then again, with things I learned on previous trips to Vegas while they were building (if that is the right word...) the Stratosphere, there would be no way to get me up in it, even if I weren't afraid of heights.

Dude book reservations at night and take her up top for dinner. It's pretty sweet up there at night. I had like a 5 course meal up there. we made like 2 full turns of the city looking out on the lights and it took like a good 4 hours or so. Course you being married may have trouble commin up with things to talk about for 4 hours <snicker>...
Anyway there is a real nice resturant up there...

Me and Shawn are planning on being there the night of the 4th. Not a big dancer though, but I do love to gamble.
Got word from Xorg today and he sends his regards that he's not going to be able to make it to the con, he's got a job trip in LA that he's got to go on. He sends his love to everyone since he won't be there.

I'm just glad I'm driving in early Thursday and don't have to be hogtied or gotten drunk to go on the Stratosphere. I hates that thing. I come from the land of real coasters! Well, unless you count Sandusky Ohio...

Solomon actually is a very good Coaster rider, Remember that first year on the NY NY? What a scream that was. Trul and I argued like a 80 year old couple all the way up the first hill.
Soim you aint had the right wife yet, some of us keep conversation just fine! Dern your hide.

Well I could go on and on and on here. Not sure how to put it into words to do it all justice. I had the percect marriage for 6+ years it was beyond perfect and divine. even with 20/20 hindsight and knowing after I went to Kuwait and it fell apart for reasons I will not get into... I told people if I could do it all again knowing the end I would. It was worth the perfect years. The first Vegas con I went to 3 years ago on a whim I met her again... She was living in Vegas and we had lunch in the camel coffee cafe in the Sahara. Then we talked more and I went to vegas to see her more and more and she came here. For the last year we alternated every other month. And I am there to see her the weekend prior.
With utter certinity, to a degree DR and Vegas con is part of the reson I am seeing the perfect SOIM woman again for me. Since we split I loved no other to that degree and I doubt I could and I can say with a clear heart I still love her like no other and she loves me and the only reason I am missing spending time with you is she is so much more important. Call me a wuzz or a hopless romantic. But I am going to be with the perfect woman forever again and DR and vegas helped me to a degree to accomplish that means. I still wish I was there screwing around and having fun with you all.
On a side note Saliar promised me he will check into a suprise gift from me to Vegas con and see if it is plausable and acceptable to add to your merriment and fun factor. I am trying to organize a special apperance on one night of a exotic dancer to come up to the suite and work the croud and get everyone to laugh or participate and grind in Bubbas lap and ask him if it's good to be the Bubba! Or at least tease the men in the suite and have some fun. I do remember I had promissed a Soim sponsored wet T shirt contest and I hate to not keep my word or do better.
And if I can't get one remember to taunt Saliar for falling thru on finding me one! I would love to see one grinding in Hedges lap, wearing his hat and screamin ride em cowboy! <cackle> Gah! the simple things in life make me laugh the most...
