[Foundry Building]
Hot grey stone walls seem to huddle in towards the fire in the small chamber of the foundry. Hanging over the fire from a thick beam is an enormous crucible occupying a lion's share of the less than ample space. The rest of the room is crowded with an old, but well-maintained bellows aimed into the glowing coals and a bin of charcoal. You also see a smoldering fire, a bucket of cool water, a sandstone wire mold, a sandstone plate mold and a sandstone ingot mold.

You move to put your platinum nugget in a huge iron crucible, but think better of it as you realize there is little chance the a huge iron crucible will get hot enough to make a change to the nugget.

Yeah, that's the old forge.

It'd be nice if they could just stick new equipment in the old forge. Don't even need to make a society out of it with attendants and whatnot, just having new equipment in the old forges would be cool.

From what little I've learned it's nowhere near that simple.
