New boards, fresh start, seemed like a good time to bring this up again. Since there has been no response one way or the other in more than a year.. what is the possibility of allowing commoners a way to earn citizenship? I've got a Elothean character I've been developing who is deeply immersed in the culture of Ilithi, yet for reasons I'll not go into here chooses not to become a member of a guilded profession. I'm sure there are many others who feel as I do (especially Estate Holders (not to be confused with premium members)), that just because we don't belong to a guild doesn't mean we don't swear fealty to a particular sovereign.
The average skill requirement for 5th circle (which I believe is the citizenship req, correct me if I'm wrong) is 178.5 (ranging from Traders at 115 (Boo!) to Bards at 245 (Ouch!)*). How about letting a commoner become a citizen when they reach that mark? We work as hard for those ranks as anyone and we're still contributing members of society. We're entitled to the rights and responsibilites of any other citizen, let's make it happen :)

*Just an observation I made while researching guild requirements: Paladins have individual lore requirements that add up to more than the overall lore req.. why even bother with it?
