Swimming in Lang is DANGEROUS!
[Gwenalion Fens, In the Water]
Deep brown strands of peat float in the dark water as it surges sullenly
against the shoreline. Tangled mats of dried reeds and vines dot the surface,
providing homes to otters, beavers and nesting birds. Wide enough to support
several people, these hummocks drift aimlessly with the tides. Obvious paths: north, northeast, southeast, southwest.
n
A sinuous elsralael leaps up from beneath the surface, taking you by surprise!
* With the speed and temerity of a swooping falcon, a sinuous elsralael
thrashes its tail and charges blindly at you. You attempt to dodge, moving
directly into the blow. The body lands an extremely heavy hit that crushes the
pelvis with a loud snap, stunning you.
[You're very beat up, very badly balanced with opponent dominating.]
You are still stunned.
* Moving in with powerful grace, a sinuous elsralael whips at you. You fail
to evade, taking the full blow. The whip lands an extremely heavy hit that
completely severs your left hamstring.
[You're terribly wounded, extremely imbalanced with opponent overwhelming
you.]
Your throat contracts suddenly, growing cooler as your Dragon's Breath spell
dissipates.
* Moving with powerful grace, a sinuous elsralael whips at you. You attempt
to evade, taking the full blow. The whip lands a massive strike that drives
the lungs into the throat with a strike to the solar plexus. Your death cry echoes in your brain as it quickly dawns on you that you have just died! Already, you feel the tug of eternity upon your spirit and you struggle to remain tied to this world.
You are somewhat comforted that you have gained favor with your God and are
in no danger from passing on into the Starry Road forever.
Your body will decay beyond its ability to hold your soul in 202 minutes. [You're extremely imbalanced]
You are a ghost! You must wait until someone resurrects you, or you decay.
Either way, it won't be long now! (HELP for more details).
Since the guy who was working on swimming is gone, would someone consider re-evaluating the swimming experience in the Lang/Theren area? Would be nice if the lake taught more than just 80 ranks. Only place to learn currently is either near the homes, which you need to have no burden to cross, or the gwens where the eels mean certain death. The water area north of the Uyns in Riverhaven is also impossible to cross with burden.
Maybe even the moat? Make it teach at least to 100? Or build a area near the bridge near El 'Bains that teaches swimming 80+Please consider. The climbing situation has been remedied, would love to see more swimming areas.
Thanks

You have crystal blue eyes. You are bald, with dark brown skin. You are clean shaven. You have a tattoo of a huge Taisidonian pearl nestled inside an opened oyster on your arm.
