I know this has been posted before, but I post again in hopes that a GM will check into this and/or respond.
The gem cabin in Leth is locked up tight. It cannot be picked open. This is not a case of where someone closed the door to be cute - the whole cabin is off limits. May we please get some explanation as to why and/or some GM attention to the matter if the cabin should not locked. Thank you in advance.

What Shenae said. Perhaps the merchant will be buying gems so he can create new jewelry pieces for the grand reopenning and meanwhile the display cases would just sit empty?

I hope fixing the problem doesn't affect the choices of gems and jewelry available in the catalog. Khushi's was my favorite merchant shop ever, he had a lot of unique choices of materials and had a specific flavor to the pieces available not seen in many shops throughout the realms.

It has been closed for such a long time now. I don't read this folder, as a rule and only decided to because someone mentioned it was still closed.
Having even just Ghendil back would be nice, with his supply of gem pouches, but ideally I'd like the ability to purchase jewellery there again. The selection is special and is nice to enchant with.
I hope the shop returns soon, as travelling to Crossing, just for gem pouches, is a pain and the checkpoint near Shard makes that gemshop hard for me too.

Aye I do a fair amount of business there myself and would like it to be reopened, at least just Ghendil's part.
My question is now "Was that 900% player related or pawnshop relate?" Because if it was pawnshop related I can see the first room being closed for fixing.
Please, please Meriel open at least Ghendil's room soon, since nothing needs fixing there. Reading the back log of this folder you seem to be pretty awesome about listening to requests, what with the horse stable and the bucket outside of the depart area.
Thank you,
Yamaga
PS. (Bucket in Ghendil's when it reopens would make my day. Might as well ask for the stars when asking for the moon.)

Ask and you shall receive... sometimes soon, sometimes sooner.
I've cut a side door into Ghendil's part of the shop and blocked off entrance to Khushi's. You may also notice a little detail added in how things look to help folks who may not have heard the news realize that Ghendil's is once again open for business. Enjoy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
You're absolutely awesome Meriel! The speed at which you get things done is amazing... Now if we could only get you to work on the Gnome Village!
If you want to stop by the gem shop so I can thank you in person feel free to do so. I will give you an excellent price on any gems you want to sell.
Thanks again Meriel.

I do hope this reopens soon. It's the only place in Elanthia that sells those pretty pink pearls in jewelry settings.
