Looking for climbing training around Leth... particullarly in the 140-170 range (I have 140... can boost to 170 rather easy...) what are my options? I know of the fireplace and vine in the Leth Manor... how hard are these? I know I couldn't get em with 140 and a good sure footing...

<<300!!! Your kidding! I thought with old climbing it was more like 150-200... Eww! Wait are you talking climbing up or down? And any idea on the vine? Sounds like my plan of eventually training climbing there while working Kartais for all they're worth isn't gonna pan out.>>
I have 175 climbing, and can make the climb with about a 25 mana SPC, even with factoring in the ranger bonus, I don't think it'd be 300, but regardless, it is high.

Less then 100 climbing? <peers> All the climbing checks I know of are 200+ Now there are certainly ways in that don't require climbing at all, but another skill (In much smaller amounts, and could possibly even be done with no skill). Or of course there is the puzzle entry that no one bothers to use...

Not sure how much I can say here without going into territory I shouldn't talk about... so I'll be vague like and try not to cross that line:
There is a simple to solve, but hard to execute puzzle (with some moderate skill checks) to get into the grounds.
There is a backdoor (Several actually, but all related) that is dangerouse but involves a very low skill checks into the grounds.
There is a hard climb (as well as a dangerouse area) that leads from outside the grounds directly into the manor.
There is a hard climb (not sure how this compares to the other) that leads from the grounds into the manor.
There is a puzzle (with no skill checks) that leads from the grounds into the manor.
Ways out... you're on your own (those are puzzles too for the most part).

Leth was noticeably bare in this regard when I was mapping it out. For swimming, you have the moss mey pool and maybe some small creek-thing up in the Forest of Night. Climbing consists of the sinkhole leading to the ubershark catacombs (germishdin, revenent zombies, and bone wolves) and a couple other items that lead upwards into the manor (very hard items you might not be able to climb). There might be some incidental climbing objects to learn from in the Forest of Night and you maybe might learn something from the tree in the town center of Leth. Escaping is done strictly at the aforementioned Manor, being the easiest way out of that area.
J'Lo, no that other one

Swimming - Moss Mey stream is pretty much it, as far as I know
Climbing - Nothing really close, but a couple of options are the Forgotten Chambers in The Gash and the Undergondola area. The problem is the Forgotten Chambers won't teach high enough to be able to climb the undergondola.
Escaping - Only option is Kartais in Alfar's Manor.

>>I'm about 95% positive it takes right around 200 ranks.
One way to climb in takes about 200. The other way to climb in takes a bit more. There is also the puzzle which doesn't take much climbing.
