Roughly, how long does it take to get to Ratha from Mer'kresh if you go through Hara'jaal? Is it feasible? What all is involved? Is it possible to take the return trip, from Ratha back to Mer'kresh?

Yes, it's possible to go Ratha>Hara>Kresh, but it requires a puzzle and 2 gold bribes. You've also got a fairly steep climb, but I don't know how much skill off the top of my head. Elanthipdia has maps if you need.
As for how long, you've got two ferry rides which complicate that. Ratha-Hara is about 30 mins if memory serves, Hara-Kresh is about 10.

That sounds about right. It has been a while since I've been to Kresh, though.
