The spawn in these is really bizarre. If I'm the only one hunting there I can spawn 5 shadow beasts or 5 cinder beasts alone. However, if one other person shows up, no more than 5 cinder beasts or 5 shadow beasts will spawn.

In other words, the gen is fine if you have the whole place to yourself, but one additional hunter ruins it.

Can this please be looked at, as several people hunt down there at certain times and it can be quite terrible.

A lot of areas are doing this these days. I keep email gms about it but they don't seem to believe it's a problem. Apparently it's working, but damn does it suck in storm bulls.

I hope every day that the combat rewrite rolls in so that we can finally get some of these issues addressed on a global scale.

Hanryu, my guess is it's related to the number of complaints. If Worrclan and I are the only two people that come forward asking for a spawn increase, it's not exactly high priority on their to do list (not sure how hard this actually is to do).

If ten other people came forward requesting it, someone might actually care and do something about it.

Other comparable creatures that are cursed are also broken though. Snaer hafwa spawn 1 per hunter in the whole area that they're in, in crossing. Seems like kind of a wasted creature/area, but like these no one else is requesting they be fixed so I guess it's gone the way of the dodo.

Mason19 There have been others that have complained ie Asterid, myself, Eladrid just off the top of my head. The spawn rates at the higher levels need to be addressed, we all hope the new combat changes this but the wait can be rather frustrating.

You can add Karthor to the list of people that get royally screwed by the broken spawn in stormbulls. Ever time we see each other in there we complain about it. I've got a bug report on a macro quite frankly.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I was referring to Worrclan and I being the only two that asked for an increase for shadow/cinder beasts. I know that there have been a plethora of requests for other creatures.

I hear ya Mason. I saying that I don't think the issue you are experiencing is limited to shadow/cinder beasts. It's the same problem happening in multiple hunting grounds, namely: 5-6 critters spawn independent of the number of hunters. This is awesome-sauce when you are the only hunter and get to play with 5-6 critters. It sucks when 2 other hunters show up and 1 decides to dance with 4 leaving the others to fight over the remaining 1-2 critters. It really seems as if the critters/hunter spawn mechanics are not working only the minimum critter mechanics. It really should be 5-6 base + x critters per hunter instead of just 5-6 critters period.

I was gathering basilisk fangs this morning and it seems that the same spawn mechanics apply here. I constantly had 4 critters in my room with an occasional 5th one wandering in and out until another hunter showed up, then I'd see 1-2 critters every 10 minutes. This is the exact same pattern that I experience in Stormbulls.
