Since this folder gets little attention I thought I'd nudge things a lil bit by askin you, the hunter, what are the worst places to die? Also this can be used as a precautionary note for people who get a lil too adventurous sometimes and require the aid of legions of rescue teams (like me). Here would be my top three in no particular order:

1) Dunes of Despair - Yes, I dare you to try and tell someone where you are in there.

2) Nardel Aesker - The Moradu hunting area of Hara'jaal. Not only one of the most meagerly populated areas in Elanthia, this particular hunting area only lets experienced climbers in, and you cannot be dragged out. If you are willing to make the depart and come back to your grave, be sure to watch out for flying trees.

3) Zaulfung Swamp - It's huge, it's isolated, it's in muddy waters difficult to swim, it's infested with vicious creatures, and if that's not enough, you better get back to that grave soon cause the swamp loves to swallow up items and send them "elsewhere".

4) Korgi - Don't know where it is? Good.

5) Mistwood Forest (Sky Giants) - The speed of the Sky Giant is quite impressive. Their death from above spells make them lethal to any rescue mission.

6) Gilen Otso Steppe (Dragon Priestesses) - Retrieving your items takes on a whole new meaning here as once the Dragon Priests dispatch you, your body is then neatly placed inside a cairn, subject to removal by the janitor (Not sure if this is still the case).

7) Fornsted (Velvers) - Most dangerous premie only hunting area. Never seen anyone hunt there.

8) Top of the Greater Fist - While it's not a hunting area, there are several ways to be smoten. And any help would be very slow in coming due to the nature of the climbing.

9) Mer'kresh (Celpeze) - The Celpeze, deadly even to Elanthia's finest, can pack quite a punch and leave your body floating for days.

10) The Hive - Especially in the deeper sections of the Hive this area, limited to wielders of triskele only, is a bad bad place to expect help to find you. With the constant shifting of the rooms and the lurking of the nearby Vykathi, attention must be paid to every step to avoid a bad situation.

This is all just my opinion and I would love to hear yours. :)

The area behind the Gate of Souls.

The Blasted Plain shifts around every now and then.

The Temple of Ushnish shifts around inside the Plain.

The Fangs of Ushnish cliffs behind the Temple are also a shifting area.

Even if you manage to drag someone down the cliffs, through the Temple and to the cavern somewhere on the Plain...you cannot drag the person through the tunnel.

If you depart there you end up in RiverHaven, with a ferry between you and your grave.

I'm pretty sure I departed to Dirge last time I died in there. It was hell getting up the cliff though.

Another great feature about Greater/Lesser fist, or the surrounding hunting areas, is that you wind up on the other side of the river after you depart. Probably a good idea to have some money in the haven bank, or else wind up naked and begging for change at the ferry.

Or at least I heard that's what happens. ::looks around::

Been there, done that, it stinks! Trying to find someone when you knew they were 3 rooms east, but now only goes 2 rooms, yuck.

back in the day the bad place was the guardians due to the rck, i remember gweths requesting gates...

There are places even I won't dare to be caught dead. (Also I'm no longer an estate holder). In the keep in Fornsted down in the dungeon there is a door that leads to them.

Drachus did say under the gondola, which is very broad. I went climbing with a cool ranger (K man) down there. He went up around the la'tami area. Apparently need A crap load of climibing (300's) and another skill (won't share that secret) to drag someone out. So I think thats a huge death spot.

I'd add the shifting desert with nomad slavers to the list. as the place shifts around.

another bad place to die would be inside the m'riss prison if its possible there.

another place would be on the island inside the city on aesry. would have to row to get back to your grave. which takes a long time.

Not to sure if it has been fixed. However a few years back I killed myself with a box, right were you get off the barge in Lang, thinking I'd depart real quick and turn up in the temple just a few rooms to the west.

...to my horrer I ended up in Riverhaven. After one terribly long barge ride I got back to find all my stuff, neatly placed in my pack and being guarded by a nice young commoner. (I lost his name sadly).

Now that I think about it, Riverhaven itself is probably one of the BEST places to kick it. It's not a pain getting out of the temple such as in crossing. Somebody actually dragged me right into the temple where you end up a little while ago. It was the most convenient death I'd ever had.
