One thats not been mentioned is In the water area of the fen area. When you are dead the fens feast on your flesh eating large chunks from your anatomy. The first time I died in there I ended up looking like a disintigrate victim. Your body also drifts from the room you die in due to water currents causing you to lose your weapon ie without you in the room the janitor eats it. Also if you depart and dig your grave, the evil elsralael are wont to attack you from hiding as you don your gear or a fen will walk in and tkt you.

RIP Rys

Where boredom takes a lonely Barbarian.

<1) Dunes of Despair - Yes, I dare you to try and tell someone where you are in there.
Yep. it sucks ;) I was lucky enough to find my grave before everthing disappeared.

<10) The Hive - Especially in the deeper sections of the Hive this area, limited to wielders of triskele only, is a bad bad place to expect help to find you. With the constant shifting of the rooms and the lurking of the nearby Vykathi, attention must be paid to every step to avoid a bad situation.
Not really too bad now. You get dragged to a chamber outside of the hive, but the downside is its filled with poison gas so cleaning out your grave isnt too nice.
< The area behind the Gate of Souls.
This is definitely one of the worst places to die. Departing to Riverhaven it can take a long time getting back to your grave not to mention an ugly, nekkid Barbarian within the confined quarters of the ferry.
<I'd add the shifting desert with nomad slavers to the list. as the place shifts around.
Yep, and why do slavers suddenly swarm around your grave? ;)
<Leth manor as well can be inconvienent to say the least.
Not really too bad since there is a ghost that drags you outside of the manor to the rubble heap.

9) Mer'kresh (Celpeze) - The Celpeze, deadly even to Elanthia's finest, can pack quite a punch and leave your body floating for days.

This one's not that bad.
1)Not a maze, so easy to find stuff
2)No ranged/magic attacks, so can get stuff back with relative ease (retreating)
3)Depart spot is fairly close

Bad part also about Celpeze is that they chew on your body while you are dead. Pretty nasty if you stay dead for a while.

The bad thing about death in celps is they drag your body around leaving your dropped weapon vulnerable to the janitor.

I had to go rescue a friend who wanted to go play in the refuse pile in Theren. While I was in Shard, I got the request.

In the room you die,

Not very good holy mana.
You need to be a cleric, have a cleric with you, or a rattle to enter the area.
You can't drag from the room.
Critters come in the room.
You depart to Lang.
Your kneeling.
You can't gate out (blocked for some reason)
You cant' gate in (inside a cave)

Wow...
Where the devil is this place and did the person get help?
AIM me because I can rejuve em- (Really would rather not use the rune but it's meant to be used) and I've my arsenal of rattles (And a Clerical friend who could outdo that)
How was life and elemental mana in that room?

I can't fire them. I hired these guys for three days a week and they just started showing up every day. That was four years ago

I have actually raised folks in the past in there. Usually makes a good team effort for a pallie, empath and a cleric. Trick to handleing the rejuv part is charge up two camb orbs to start with, walk let it fly, usually one cast will do it. palidan settin a banner and an empath healing. raise them there and let them walk out.

Worst spot for me is the greater hounds by far. You depart back to the temple, If it is daylight it is impossible to get help. If it is at night there is still not over a handfull of folks that can hunt the swamps around usually. death scars keep you from fleein the area. naked and scared up you have to swim back through there with the shadow hounds and some of the greater sluaghs usin ranged and without a shield can tear you up in one shot. Hiding and stalkin is impossible due to water. You have to retrieve your gear and hope you have herbs or know how to find them in there just to get out. Overall really nasty spot... I forgot to mention the hounds have disease breath, the sluaghs berserk like a barb with a tooth ache and there is an ancient bone claw that keeps tryin to grab you and drag you under the swamps or pick you up out of them and crush the life out of you....

In response to the name of the topic I would say dying in Beisswurms is pretty high on the list of places not to die. The hive as well.

I would agree with Cadderrly on the deep swamp but would also put forth the Fangs of Ushnishh. Down that cliff which is evil to drag (no idea what it takes), plus cannot drag past the tunnel. Departs take ye to Haven, which means the lovable nekkid ferry ride to try to get to yer gravesite before ye weapon gets janitorized. Gating in is possible in the field and should make the area a lil easier for help to arrive with the walking moonbeams now.

Yes the Vykathi Hive is another evil place to die

It's past the gate where Sun Vultures are. Not a place to go alone. None of the mana is very good in there. The person is safe and sound since I was the rescuing party. <grin>

Was struck blind and a Bardess came to rescue my but after I rolled down the hill. I was well overcircle, too but those blasted stuns can wreck havoc.

Another nasty place to bite it (granted, only the VERY young will die here) is Aesthentine's Close. I got lost in there as a true commoner once.... wandered around for ages, running from those big rats trying to figure out how to get out. I can't imagine how long it would take for someone to find you down there.

not only the very young die there. it was the hang-out for a certain NPC. the original Shaydee, me, and a whole bunch of others managed to die there during a certain... um... ranger...event.. <nods>. course, said NPC was good enough to dump us out into another smelly place... <G>

The scavenger troll exclaims, "I dinks I like da' Moongate!"

The scavenger troll bends over and picks up the Moongate. After appraising it, the troll places the Moongate in its frayed knapsack

It's an awesome hunting ground for low circles if you want to go in with a small group or be alone. It's also got a very unique atmosphere compared to most places in the realms. For some reason, although it really doesn't do much, I love the way the portal works and the aura of magic in that particular room.

Yea, my commoner was looking for...um...a...hair, down by the waterfront the other day and forgot which warehouse I was in. Stumbled in there, remembered the way out, portal's green, lookit that. Guess I'll be going to cougars--ZAP! Right into the middle of Naarg.

It was sort of humorous, though...
